In the dimly lit haze of the club, the rhythmic thump of bass-heavy music pulsed through Zalindra's veins like an unrelenting drumbeat. Neon lights painted color across the swaying bodies on the dance floor. She found herself leaning against the polished wooden bar, the only anchor in a club filled with drifting souls and intoxicating beats. Another night to let go, a temporary escape from the suffocating expectations of the coven.

Zalindra’s eyes scanned the room, searching for nothing and everything. She had been consumed with this restless feeling for months. Nothing and no one could satisfy her. As heir to her coven's throne, she was burdened with antiquated traditions that seemed to march out of the Dark Ages. Marry to maintain the lineage's strength. Produce heirs. Sustaining the power was critical, they said, but who exactly wanted to get hitched in this day and age? Passionately, Zalindra envisioned herself as more of a warrior than a bride—a resolute protector, not a pampered princess.

Her gaze drifted upwards to the VIP section. She wasn’t really looking at anything in particular, that is just where her eyes stopped as her thoughts of her obligations consumed her. Eyes glassed over, she didn’t notice them …at first. But her magic noticed and was caught by a knot of energy, something raw and electric that sliced through the mundane. Two men stood at the balcony overlooking the dancefloor, their presence an unspoken invitation. She knew immediately who they were though they had never met. Their reputation preceded them.

Lucian and Lorian were the owners of The Witching Hour and were perfectly mismatched; Lucian with his dark, brooding intensity, and Lorian sparkling with an easy charm that seemed to draw light from the neon glow. Despite their contrasting personalities, they shared a palpable energy that felt... different. Unaware of the mystical undercurrent that linked them, they exuded a charisma that demanded attention. They were known womanizers. They always shared one woman and were never seen with the same woman twice. That is exactly what she wanted. No strings, no pressure, no rules…just raw desire.

As if reading her mind, they turned their gaze to her. Zalindra felt a subtle shift as Lucian’s eyes met hers across the room—a silent challenge, a whispered promise. Her heartbeat caught in a new rhythm, synchronized with the pounding music. Lorian noticed too, his easy grin lighting up the path toward her as they made their way through the throng of dancers.

If this was cliché, she didn’t care. The air between them crackled with potential, an unacknowledged tangle of magic that none knew but all could feel. Lucian was the first to approach, carrying the scent of sandalwood and something deliciously primal.

“Buy you a drink?” he asked, his voice smooth with an underlying edge that sent a shiver down Zalindra’s spine.

Lorian perched on the barstool next to her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Or perhaps a dance?” he suggested, raising an eyebrow in a cheeky challenge.

She laughed; the sound surprisingly carefree as it slipped into the air. "Why not both?" A feeling of reckless abandon washed over her, a decision to embrace the night’s spontaneity, a single shadowed corner of her life unbound by duty.

They made their way back up the stairs to the private area that was only for the Twins and the chosen guest. Once alone, the drinks flowed, and hands roamed. We spoke volumes without uttering a single word. Neither of us wanted anything from each other but also everything. Lucian was the first to act, spinning me into his arms and slamming his lips on mine. I devoured his mouth in return. Without missing a beat, Lorian was at my back, his obvious arousal pressed against me.

I pushed my ass back to show him my approval. His hands grabbed my hips and ground eagerly against me. I pulled away from them both and held my hand up, indicating for them to wait and not move. I took 2 steps back so that they could see me easily and pulled my dress off my shoulders. I let it fall to the floor and stepped out of it. I stood before them and invited them to admire me…and the did. I arched an eyebrow and stared at them. Understanding my meaning, they both undressed as well. Now it was my turn to admire them. DAMN! This is exactly what I needed.

I cleared the distance between us and knelt before them. Taking their erections in each of my hands. Their smell was intoxicating, and I was already tipsy. I rubbed my thumbs over their tips and was rewarded with moans. I may be the one on my knees, but I had all the power here. I took Lucian in my mouth first. He threw his head back and grabbed his brother’s shoulder. Lorian twitched in my hand at this sight of me taking all his brother had to offer. I pulled back and let his cock slide out of my mouth with a pop. Then did the same with Lorian. Lorian held me by my hair and cursed. The first word spoken since we started. I chuckled with him in my mouth and the vibration made him jerk.

Lucian lifted me up off the floor and carried me to the couch. He held my legs open, and Lorian joined him. They took turns lapping at my wetness. I have never experienced such pleasure before. There was no build up just an explosion of pleasure. After I came down, Lorian flipped me on my knees and entered me from behind. This was no love-making session, just carnal desire. Exactly what I wanted. I reached my handout for Lucian and took him in my mouth once again as Lorian pounded me relentlessly. Matching his brother’s rhythm, Lucian destroyed my mouth. The feeling was incredible. I could feel myself throbbing and ready to finish again. I moaned on Lucian while pulsing on Lorian. I could feel that they were both ready. To tip the scales in my favor, I squeezed tight around Lorian and twirled my tongue around Lucian. They both finished inside of me and this power sent me over the edge with them.

We all lay on the couch, panting and a bit delirious. As they lay there, I cast a quick spell on each of them to make them forget me. Sealed with a kiss. I was soon to be the Head Witch in charge and the last thing I needed was to have these men, as amazing as they were, asking around about me. I told myself it was better this way. After tonight, I had to fulfill my duties to the coven.

I quickly dressed and made my way to the exit.

“Thanks for the memories boys.” I say as I give them one last look on my way out.

The chamber of the High Circle had never felt so small.Once, the vaulted ceiling had inspired awe. Gold-inlaid runes glittered in the candlelight, carved into stone worn smooth by centuries of ritual. The seven thrones of the Elders, set in a half-circle, had stood as symbols of permanence, unchanging, untouchable.Tonight, they were little more than cages.Elder Maelric gripped the arms of his throne so tightly his knuckles were turning white. “It should not be possible.” His voice trembled with fury as much as disbelief. “The Hollow Crown returns, and the land itself bends to their will? A mansion that moves, gates that expand? Madness! Heresy!”Across from him, Elder Ysolde smoothed the crimson silk of her robes, though her hand shook faintly. “Not heresy.” Her voice was thin, her eyes sharper than usual. “Old magic. Older than this Circle. Perhaps even older than the Coven itself.”Murmurs rippled through the thrones.Elder Varick slammed his staff against the stone floor, sparks

Night settled over the mansion, though inside the gates it did not feel like night as Zalindra had known it. Stars gleamed sharper, almost close enough to touch, and lantern light glowed from newly formed cottages along the winding paths. The air itself seemed to breathe in rhythm with the Hollow Crown, a calm pulse that soothed frayed nerves. And yet, peace could not erase the heaviness in her chest.Zalindra stood at one of the high windows of the great hall, looking at the courtyard below. Families huddled near crackling braziers conjured by the land itself. Apprentices passed bread to one another with shaking hands. A group of children, more children than she’d expected, played chase around the fountain that had not existed that morning. Their laughter reminding us of the importance of what had transpired. Every sound was a reminder. These people had come here because they believed the Hollow Crown could protect them. They had nowhere else to go.Lucian appeared at her side, a sha

The mansion had always been theirs, though none of them could have explained why. Even before it rose in mist outside the Coven walls, its bones had felt older than stone, older than the Elders’ laws. Now, standing once more inside its black-iron gates, Zalindra understood what she had never been able to name: this was not just a house. It was a living inheritance, a sanctuary that had waited for them all their lives. The air within the fence was different, lighter, calmer. The heaviness of the Elders’ wards melted into nothing at the threshold, replaced by a hum like a heartbeat thrumming through the ground itself. Zalindra let her hand trail against the wrought-iron gate, and the metal pulsed faintly in answer, almost warm beneath her fingertips. She exhaled, shoulders loosening for the first time since the confrontation. “It feels… like it knows us.”Lucian gave a sharp grin, though his eyes were wary as he scanned the fog-dampened gardens. “I have always spoke to her like she was

Zalindra and Layla should have felt at home here, but everything felt so foreign. Stone columns climbed high into shadows, and banners of ancient lineage hung heavy with dust, their colors muted with age. The Elders sat elevated on their carved thrones rigid, cloaked in black authority, eyes sharp as knives. It was not a welcome. It was a trial.Zalindra stood at the center, the Hollow Crown at her side. Lucian’s presence coiled with restrained danger, Lorian’s calm mask tightened at the edges, Layla’s serenity radiated like a blade hidden in silk. The bond pulsed between them, steady, unyielding. One of the Elders rose, his voice carried cold command.“Zalindra of the Sapphire Flame. By decree of this council, your offer to be considered as Queen is revoked. The Hollow Crown is no longer welcome in Coven territory. Any who aid you will be marked as traitors and punished accordingly.”The words fell like chains. Murmurs rippled among the gathered onlookers, witches who had come to wit

The gates of the Coven loomed before them, carved of blackened stone and etched with wards meant to keep enemies at bay. Once, Zalindra might have felt the weight of those wards pressing down on her, a reminder of her precarious place within these walls. Now, as she stepped into it, the Sapphire Flame burning through the shadows. In that moment, she realized that this is how it had always been. They were all made to feel like guests within the Coven. Like at any moment, our invitation could be rescinded, and we would be cast out. How could the Elders expect us to be okay with that for generations?Lucian and Lorian flanked her, their shoulders squared, their eyes gleaming like stormlight. Layla followed a step behind, calm and composed as always, though Zalindra felt the steady undercurrent of her presence. Together, they were not four individuals but one current of power, the Hollow Crown. The wards stirred as they approached, reacting to their presence. Instead of resisting, howe

A shift rippled through the bond.It started as a whisper, so faint Zalindra thought it a trick of memory. Then another. A murmur of voices carried on the wind. Not words exactly, but feelings, anxieties, doubts, fear. They weren’t her own. They weren’t Lucian’s or Lorian’s or Layla’s.They belonged to their followers.Zalindra’s hand froze halfway to her goblet. Her pulse quickened, the Sapphire Flame in her chest flaring sharp and insistent. She pressed her palm to her sternum, as though she could smother the sensation, but it only grew stronger. A hundred threads brushed against her mind; uncertain, trembling, stretched taut with unrest.“Do you feel that?” she whispered.Lucian’s fork stilled halfway to his mouth. His eyes locked to hers, bright and piercing. “Yes.”Lorian slowly lowered the piece of bread in his hand, his brow furrowing in dawning unease. “It’s… like I can hear them. Not clearly, but their unease. It’s bleeding into us.”Layla sat straighter, her sharp eyes narro
