Chapter 3— Shopping

Lila ignored the pain in her palm and walked around the house. She found that there were several rooms.

She entered one of the rooms and it seemed to be the master bedroom, her mouth hung open at the size of the room and bed.

She checked various rooms and was equally surprised, but the first room was the best of them.

“There is even electricity! Doesn't this mean I won't have to worry about entertainment?”

She couldn't resist the urge to squeal, as she brought her hand to cover her mouth she winced in pain.

“Tsk.” Mimi said. She really is a dumb woman, she hasn't even seen half of the house and she's already so excited.

Then she came to another door, as she pushed it open, a large puzzle caught her eye. Is this for entertainment?

“Mimi, what is this thing?”

No response.

“Dear Mimi, what is this?” She asked.

“You will not address me in such a frivolous way.” Mimi replied.

“Alright, just answer already.”

“It's a puzzle, but you only need four pieces to complete it. You have to find each piece yourself.”

“Where can I find it? What will happen when I find it?”

“Each of those pieces can be found on four men, in form of a scar, once you've found the men, you just have to take a look at the scar to know where it fits in the puzzle.”

A scar? Even though the puzzle is divided into four, each piece is still relatively big, how can one have such a big scar?

Wait, that's not the point. “MEN?!!,” Lila screamed. What other options do I have? She'd rather the scars are on zombies!.

“It's fine. You can choose not to look for them.”

Lila was about to sigh in relief when she heard Mimi's next words.”

“Just await your death when the zombie king shows up.”

What? I don't want to die again. “What's a zombie king, I didn't see them in the past?”

“You'll know when they show up, as for the men , I'll alert you when they're close by.” Mimi said.

“Okay, how do I bring my resources here? I don't even know how I came in.”

“Go take a look at the warehouse, you can bring in your resources and arrange them there.”

“Well…how do I bring them?”

Mimi “...” Why does she have so many questions.

Seeing that she was ignored, she turned to leave the house.

“ Take some water from the fountain and wash your hands, the sight of your blood disgusts me, and GET DRESSED!” What a shameless woman.

Lila rolled her eyes, she walked to the fountain, she had seen it when she came in earlier. It was the shape of a dragon spitting water.

She used her hand to take some water and wash off the blood, as she did so, she noticed that there was no pain in her palm anymore and the wound seemed to close a bit.

“Was Mimi being kind? Awwwn, so cute.” In addition to a house, she even has a miraculous water.

Mimi almost regretted helping her, it should have just let her bleed to death, once she dies it could go back to sleep.

Lila saw a large building with a sign that read ‘warehouse’. The arrangement was like a supermarket, there were rolls of shelves and even tags on what should be on which shelf.

“Wow, this system is quite detailed.” Now that she had a place to store her resources, she can purchase without worry.

“Mimi, I want to leav—” she didn't even finish speaking before she was thrown out. She was still in the bathroom in the same position. The best thing was that time hasn't passed at all.

Lila took a shower and headed out. First she rented a big van, then headed to the supermarket. Bottles of water, noodles, biscuits,milk, tissues, towels…she swept them off the shelves.

Lila kept filling cart after cart, she paid for them, ignoring the weird gazes and walked to her can, the security kindly helped her load her items onto the van.

When they were done, she looked at the middle aged man and said with a small smile “it's good to stuck up on food, don't you think?”

“Yes, Yes.” He replied, though he didn't really understand what she was trying to say, he was just being polite.

Lila gave him a few packs of noodles and got into her van. It's not that she was a bad person, but no one would believe her if she said there was an apocalypse coming.

They might even accuse her of trying to cause panic.

Next she went to the market and bought some meat, vegetables, pork, chicken. She got some fruit tree seeds, vegetables seeds and got live chickens, ducks, goose all in pairs.

She checked her list again and saw that she had gotten most things except rice, flour and others.

She bought a hundred kilogram of flour and rice, dried beans. She wasn't sure if the house will keep things from going bad, so she asked Mimi.

After confirming that it won't go bad, she got more meat and vegetables.

Lila sat in her van and took out her list again. Water, check. Noodles, check. Towels, check. Meat, check.

She checked the list again and again, it seemed to be missing something important. But no matter how she thought about it, she couldn't figure it out.

She wasn't planning on buying clothes and drugs, she had a plan on how to get them. Thinking of this Lila couldn't help but think that she was very smart.

As she drove back to her place, she asked “Mimi, how do I get these into the house?”

“Why do you have so many questions?”

“If you had told me everything at once I won't have the need to ask.” Lila retorted.

“You have to touch each item and imagine yourself in the house.”

If Lila could see it right now, she'd notice it had a sly smile on its face.

“Okay,” Lila replied and got to work. This time it was surprisingly easier. It took her about five minutes to get into the house each time.

She would get the item, then walk into the warehouse to place it where it should be. It was really tiring but once the apocalypse came she would be the one to enjoy it all.

Hours had passed when Lila finally finished arranging everything. She walked to her room slowly and slept off. There wasn't anything else that she needed to buy.

Besides she didn't have any money left.
