"Turn around slowly, and don't make any funny moves!" Officer Jones instructed, still aiming the gun at the both of them. "Petar?"

"Officer Jones," Petar mumbled once he and Rademos had turned to face the policeman.

Officer Jones contemplated lowering his weapon after he had recognized that the wounded man was his friend, but he chose to still have the gun trained on both men. "What the heck, Petar?"

"It's not what it looks like," Petar said, groaning slightly. "We didn't take anything from the shop, alright. I got into a bit of a scuffle with this guy, and I don't know how, but superman here palmed me, and I crashed into the coffee shop, which is how I sustained these injuries."

"It's true," Rademos quickly added.

Officer Jones saw no reason to doubt Petar because he was truly injured and it looked like they had nothing on them. Besides, he had known Petar a lifetime and it didn't make sense that Petar would steal from a coffee shop. Nevertheless, officer Jones found it hard beli
