CHAPTER 14 | PURE TORTURE

LORENZO'S POV

Echo was so quiet on our ride back home and I decided to give her some space because I know how overwhelming the day was for me, so I can only imagine how she feels. She's in a terrible situation and I know it, she's hurting and alone... Even if I try, I can't understand how it feels like to be alone but I am sure it's not a good feeling.

"I'm sorry about today, I know seeing your mother and not being able to touch or talk to her is a lot for you to handle but don't worry, it will only get better." I assured her even though I have no idea how to help her at this moment.

"Get better? How exactly will things get better? Look, I am trying to accept my fate. I am dead and there is no way I am coming back to life, I just need to figure out what my unfinished business is so that I can do it and vanish because staying here and feeling like I am alive , when I can't even talk and interact with people that matters is nothing but pure torture and it's driving me crazy." She stated and I can see how pained and heartbroken she is but I need her to be hopeful.

"I know it's very difficult but you have to be more hopeful, please don't give up until we have tried everything. Every theory, every hunch and every ounce of hope, please be hopeful for yourself, for your mother and even... Even for me." I don't know why I said that but I have grown so attached to her.

I know it's crazy but my heart beats for her and her pain and suffering has become mine, it hurts and breaks my heart to see her like this, so hurt, so small and so fragile. "I don't want to lose you Echo, I want you... No, scratch that... I need you to be real again, I need to be able to hold you, touch you, kiss you and most importantly, I need to be able to show you off. So please, stay hopeful for me." I know everything I just said is crazy but it's the truth and I need her to hear it so that she can stay hopeful.

"Do you mean everything you just said or you said it out of pity?" To be honest, I don't know if I pity her or not but one thing I am sure of is that I need her in my fucking life.

"I really want you Echo, I need you in my life and I mean it, so will you give me the chance to do everything I can first before you give up?" I can't really help her if she doesn't want my help.

"Yes, I really like you too and I don't want to die yet. I don't want to leave my mom or you,and I don't want to leave this world." She started crying again and it breaks my heart.

"Don't worry, I will do my best to keep you alive." I assured her and she placed her hands on my face like she did with her mother and I can feel it, cold and very comforting... I placed my hands on her hands but they went through.

I can't touch her but she can if she willed it enough, it's crazy because I wish I could touch her as well, even if it's just her face but it's fine. I am okay with what I can get and to be honest, I have no idea where all these emotions are coming from, I suddenly feel like I can't do without her, I feel so attached.

"I am so happy to have you and thanks so much for following and helping me with my mom." She appreciated while smiling at me.

"Well, I am glad that I could help. It was very emotional and overwhelming but I am glad I was there to support you."

We walked over to the living room and sat down, I honestly don't know what I was thinking telling her how much I care because now, I am all turned on and so fucking horny. Here she is parading and floating around me sexily and I can't even touch her... This is going to be torturous. "Can you will yourself to wear something else?" I asked curiously because if she can, it will help me a lot.

"Why?"

"Well you are so sexy in that nightwear and I am fucking horny, you are driving me crazy." I said truthfully.

"But I tried it already and you didn't see it." That's true, she tried to change her outfit the other night and it didn't work.

"Fuck, that's true. Okay, since you can touch me, can you will yourself to kiss me?" I asked hopefully.

I am a very sexual person, I love sex and I haven't even as much as kissed since I arrived here, since forever and it's driving me crazy watching her flaunt her sexy self all over the place, all day long.

"Hahaha, don't be ridiculous Enzo. You know that's not possible, it doesn't even make sense for us to do that." She pointed out and I feel so stupid for even asking her to do it.

"Yeah, my bad. That's a stupid request, sorry."

"I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I want you too. I really do, you are so handsome, sexy and hot, I want you to myself but there is nothing I can do as a ghost. Maybe we should be patient a bit, let's try and see if there is anything we can do about my situation first before anything else." She reasoned and that's the most reasonable thing to do, it's stupid to think that I can do anything with her while she's like this.

"Okay, I will get on with my research and I will also try to gather as much informations as possible from Laura when she eventually shows up." She told me she was going to come this evening but maybe she changed her mind.

"Okay thanks but be careful with her." Echo warned sternly and I wondered if she has remembered anything about her friend.

With my horniness clouding my thinking faculty, I need something to distract me from thinking about sex because that's the only thing I can think of right now. "Sure, let's see a movie." I grabbed the remote and started searching for something to watch.

I finally played a movie and I regretted it immediately because the first three scenes played a perfect picture of the thoughts I was trying to avoid. "Fuck." The first scene was of a couple kissing passionately and then it escalated to sex. In fact they are showing two different couples simultaneously having heated sex.

"Hahaha, sorry." She laughed when she noticed my frustration but it's really not funny.

"It's not funny Echo, I am beyond horny." I clarified just in case she didn't get the message when I asked her to kiss me.

"I know, sorry. Maybe you should change the movie." She suggested but what's the point? It's not like there is any assurance that there won't be sexual act in any other movie I pick.

"It's fine, let's just watch." I said just as my phone started ringing.

I brought the phone out and I noticed that it's Laura calling. "Hi, Laura." I said as soon as I picked.

"Hi Lorenzo, how are you doing?" She asked in a sexy tone that is not even helping my situation.

"I'm okay, you?"

"I'm fine, I know we are supposed to see this evening but I am sorry, I can't make it again tonight. Something came up but I will make it up to you." She explained and I am glad she changed her mind because I am not in the right frame of mind to see anyone, especially her.

"Oh it's fine, I have a very busy day too and I am quite exhausted, we can see some other time."

"Okay that's good, I will give you a call later. Take care and have a good night."

"You too." I said before hanging up the call.

I am very glad she's not coming but there was something weird about the way she just cancelled, I hope it has nothing to do with our visit to Echo's house earlier today. "It's Laura, she just cancelled. Do you think it has anything to do with our visit to see your mom?" I asked curiously because it's too early for her to suspect us, I haven't even gotten any information yet.

"I don't think so, maybe she got busy with something else. Besides we told my mom to keep our visit private, so I doubt it has anything to do with us, I am sure she will show up eventually." Echo explained and I hope she's right.

"Yeah, I guess you are right." I said as we went back to watching the movie... By the time we finished the movie, sex was not the first thing on my mind anymore, food is. "I am hungry." I said as I made my way to the kitchen to find something to eat.
