Chapter 5

**Damon's POV**

Lucas was brought into the same dungeon Kiara was locked up in, they also bind his hands with a silver chain and his neck with a silver copper.

The guards looked at him in disgust before leaving.

Kiara wanted to say something, but she was just too weak to do so, the silver copper around her neck was burning her badly, she didn't even think she'll be able to speak properly after this.

She could only stare at Lucas with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Lucas slowly turned to look at her.

"I'm sorry," He managed to say before he passed out.

"Lucas," She forced herself to call out his name.

"Wake up," She cried.

Her voice was more like a whisper.

"Lucas please wake up, wake up,"

She shut her eyes tightly, took in a deep breath as she prepared myself for what she was about to do.

When she've finally mustered enough strength, she screamed out for help.

"Help us," She screamed.

Blood sprouted out of her mouth due to the scream, her throat was hurting badly.

The last thing she saw before passing out was the pack guards rushing in.

**

I stared at my reflection in the lake, the dagger in my heart was clearly visible to me.

I felt so angry that I'll be having this damn dagger stucked in my heart and all I wanted to do right now is to pull the damn dagger out but I remember the moon goddess's words.

"That dagger is only visible to you and someone else, no one else can see the dagger in your heart, and the other person who is able to see the dagger will be the only one able to pull it out. If you try to take it out yourself, you'll only hurt yourself the more,"

I roared in rage.

"Damn those words,"

I angrily held the tip of the dagger and forcefully tried to pull it out with all my strength.

I was feeling so much pain in my heart, my whole body began to heat up and I was sweating profusely. I had to let go of the dagger due to the immense pain.

"Damn it," I spat in rage.

How will I ever find the person who could pull out the dagger? I need to get the out of me and to do that, I must find the one the goddess talked about and get them to take this out of me.

So many thoughts ran through my mind and I don't even know what to do.

I stood up and went into the lake, a swim should help cool me.

Few minutes later....

I walked out of the lake and I saw my beta standing in front of me.

"Alpha," He bowed.

"What's the problem Asher?" I questioned.

I noticed how he was struggling to tell me what he has to say.

"Speak,"

"It's about Lucas,"

"What about him?"

"He passed out, Kiara is also looking so weak so I wanted to—"

"Leave them there," I interrupted.

I knew what he wanted to ask and that was to let them go, but it's not possible, I won't free them until I feel they've had enough.

I don't care what happens to them.

"Yes alpha,"

We were about leaving when we had the snapping of trees.

"What's that?" Asher whispered.

I sniffed the air and I got the smell of someone.

"A rogue," I growled.

Asher's eyes scanned the area.

"There!" He screamed, pointing at the direction in which the person was.

Seeing that he's been caught, the rogue began to run.

"Let's go," I growled.

Asher ran past me and I followed suit with my eyes following the rogue until his figure disappeared from our sight and into the trees.

I turned around, ready to catch up with him but saw nothing but darkness.

I growled loudly and stomped away from where we were heading.

Once we were a safe distance away from the woods, I transformed back and sighed heavily.

"Are you okay?" Asher asked with concern in his voice.

"Yes. Just tired. Let's keep going,"

Asher nodded in response.

The rest of our journey was in silence.

Allowing my thoughts to wander through different scenarios.

Why would a rogue be spying on us? And who could that rogue be? I've got so many rivals but my biggest contender is the alpha of the blood moon pack.

I shook my head out of my thoughts and headed towards home.

When we finally arrived back home, the sun has already started setting.

"Hey, Asher," I turned around.

"Yes alpha,"

"How is it possible for that rogue to come into my territory? What are the pack guards doing?" I questioned, the anger evident in my voice.

"I apologize for this, I'll see to it that it never happens again,"

"You had better, if they can't do their duties well then they better resign from it, seeing this happen means a rival can easily launch an attack on us,"

"You have nothing to worry about alpha, I'll see to this, the securities will be tightened," He bowed then he ran off to deal with it.

I walked into my home and sat down on my couch.

I stared at the dagger in my heart and I sighed deeply.

Every single time I look at the dagger, I'm filled with nothing but pain and anger because it reminds me of Lucas and Kiara's betrayal.

I hope I find whoever the goddess talked about soon.

Blood moon pack....

"What news do you bring?" Alpha Lucien asked.

"It wasn't a success alpha, his beta caught sight of me and the plan got ruined," The man bowed.

"What!!" Alpha Lucien barked as he stood up angrily.

He angrily pushed the files on his desk away.

"Pardon me alpha," The man knelt down with his head bowed.

"Leave this instant!" He ordered in rage.

The man stood up and scurried out of there.
