"Did you send the package I asked you to?" I asked, glancing up.

"Yes, I did."

I frowned, glancing at the phone on my desk that hadn’t rang once since I came into the office.

"Were you able to confirm that he received it?".

She nodded. "I did, but Sir Zavian is a very busy man. It might take a few days before he gets back to you."

"Oh, I see."

It wasn’t what I wanted to hear.

I rubbed at my temple, the migraine I woke up with getting worse.
