Elena had calmed down considerably by the time she got back to her condo.

“How do you feel?” Francesca asked the minute she walked in.

“Better,” Elena answered honestly as she took a glass of water from Kim and sank into the makeup chair for ministrations to begin.

Two hours later they were ready. Physically. But internally, Elena felt like a wreck.

“Relax,” Francesca squeezed her hand as they got out of the car. “You’ll be fine. Everything will go according to plan,”

Elena gave a silent nod and turned her head to search for her future husband.

Almost as though her yearning had called him, Marco appeared and slipped a hand around her waist.

“You look beautiful tonight,” He breathed in her ear and kissed Elena’s hair.

Just like that, all her worries melted. She loved the way Marco looked at her. Like she was his sun. His air and the reason for his existence. It made her hot all over.

Elena looked down at her gold dress and smiled. “Thank you,”
