EPISODE 1 : The beginning of the end I

  Flashback 

15 Years ago....

"grrrghn" the alarm rang.

 I sleepily snaked my tiny hand toward the ringing alarm and stopped it.

I woke up , rubbed my eyes and jumped out of the bed. I remembered that today is my school parents and children sports day. yo! I can't wait to see mum be the winner.

  I ran into the bathroom like someone chased by monsters and freshened up till I jumped into the dinning room.

I met my mom, dad and baby brother Kevin there.

  " Good morning Dad , morning Mom " I greeted and kissed Kevin on his cheek , he smiled revealing his cute dimples.

 "Morning dear" my parents chorused.

 My mom helped me served my meal and i ate till my satisfaction.

  "Mom, Dad are you coming for my school sports day?" i asked anxiously.

"I'm Sorry dear, I'm not coming , I have an important meeting " Dad said rubbing his temple which he does when he's nervous.

  I frowned and bowed my head with a sad look. I raised my head and stared at mom.

  " Mom , are you also coming? " I asked biting my lips , giving her puppy eyes she can't resist.

Mom smiled. " yes , I'm coming with you" she squealed .

 in the school

 We came down from the car with the help of security with us and walked, well..Mom , Kevin and me came and the security stayed behind keeping an eye on us.

There was so many parents and children chattering among themselves. some argued about winning while some prayed they should be the winner.

  Many parents are nervous about the award. Why? Because they want to win the particular award which is eye-catching.

  The winning award is Gold cup trophy, Real gold!!

  Oh lawd!! Let momma win , pu....please.

I have friends but they're busy with their parents. A woman , Mrs savard the proprietor of the school , climbed the stage and drew people attention towards her.

  "Good day , parents and children welcome to the prestigious school of the states" she announced.

 she continues the announcement and brought up an announcement about running race of mother's.

  People cheered as some women flexed their muscles imposingly .

  "Mom , are you running?" I asked .

  " yes , I'm into running" she said .

 I looked around , it's like a stadium flooded with empty chairs . Wow , it's heaven on earth.

   Mom gave me Kevin to carry and join the women ready for running. I went to one of the chairs and sat down . The women including mom was in position " on your mark"

The referee held the flag up which means get set and waved the flag which means go! 

 The women ran fast but my mum was faster .

"Run mom!" I yelled

 "come on ,mom! " 

Mom ran till she came in contact with finish rope. she stopped , panting and smiled at me.

"Yes ,mom!" I cheered.

I ran to her carefully because of Kevin and hugged her.

 "Thank you, I love you " I said smiling.

  "I love you baby" she said , I smiled widely and Kevin laughed cutely.

  The sports day continues with interesting sports stuff like three legged race , ping a ping pong,table tennis,football and others.

   It was evening when Mrs savard wanted to give awards to the best parents and children.

".....And there is a foreigner who would give you the awards" Mrs savard said.

 "He is Mr Aroosh , a Saudi-Arabian " she announced and everyone clapped and

 cheered.

  A young handsome man came up to the stage, wow! Arabian genes can be so intriguing.

  "Hello everyone" he said in his deep arabian accent.

  "As Mrs savard said , I'm here to give you your awards" He said and everybody applauded.

 "The third winner of the sports day is Mrs Malika and her son Zain" he said and a woman and a boy up came up the stages as people applauded.

 Mr Aroosh gave them a small bronze medal and the photographer took pictures of them.

 "The second winner is Mr Romeo and his daughter Erina" he announced and people cheered .

   He gave them a small glass like and sliver medal as the pictures were shot.

  "The first winner is....." He said and paused for a while.

  I prayed silently that we should be the winner .

*Oh God , please let us win for I have dreamt about winning the medal *

  "Mrs Rivera and her daughter Dove" he announced and people cheered and applauded loudly.

  "Mom! we won ,we won!" I said happily and Mom broke into a happy smile.

  We climbed up the stage and received a gold medal and the pictures were shot.

  I can't believe I had a gold medal , real gold! 

  Dad's gonna be happy to see my gold medal.

I came down the stage and my friends rushed to me admiring the medal , we talked and talked while Mom spoke to other parents .

 seem she's getting along with them well, they could be seen admiring baby Kevin.

 it was time to go home and People started departing out of the stadium slowly.

 A guard helped us open the car door , we got in and the car zoomed off with other cars of guards in the front and at the back of our car.

At home

  We are currently watching movie on the television, we heard the sound of cars driving in .

 I knew dad has come back, I rushed upstairs to get my gold cup trophy in my bedroom and came down but I stopped halfway when I heard something that caught my attention.

  "I don't know Evelyn, they can do anything to take my position and I don't want that" Dad said and sighed.

 "The worse part is that they threatened me in the abscene of the chairman " He added.

"Hold on, Eve is it a sin to be dedicated and honest in what you are doing?" dad asked.

"No , it is not a sin" Mom answered and dad sighed.

 "Edward, why are you feeling uneasy because of their threats?" Mom asked .

  "I've a bad feeling , something is going to happen soon" Dad said

"I also have this feeling Edward after hearing this from you , we don't know what's gonna happen" Mom said .

" What should we do? " They chorused .

 "I don't know , you should think" They chorused again.

  I came downstairs and ran to Dad smiling, fake smile.

  "dad ,I won a gold trophy" I said .

  "Really? you won !" he said happily.

 "Yes but no" I said confusing Dad.

  "What are you saying dear?" he asked.

  "I think I need to tell you something" I said and the look on my parents face told to continue.

"you see , you've never attended any of my school events except today and you have always given your attention to me when we're together....and... I'm okay with that" 

  "you are the best dad , no one replaces you because you are ordained in the position you are in now"

  "You are honest and dedicated in what you are doing and I wonder why we have few enemies "

 "Mom, you have been very busy these days and you did one favour for me attending my school sports events"

  "You are a open minded person and truthful in your words , no matter what truth you say , even if people wished you haven't said it"

  "You are the best parents in the world ,even if others don't rate you for being the best "

  "To me , you are really the best despite all the discipline and home training you taught me, I've managed to understand something *a family is like an unbreakable object , whenever it hit any hard surface it remains unbreakable" 

 " thank you for giving me a brother and....I want give you this trophy for being the best" I said as I stretched out to them to take it.

  "Why are you giving us this?" Dad asked.

 " Because you won , you won a place in my heart" I said with tears falling to my cheeks.

  "why do I have feeling that you eavesdrop on our conversation with all you're saying" Mom said.

  I started blaming her mentally , that's mom for you, she speaks the truth openly.

"yes, I did eavesdrop " I said.

"dear, it is wrong to eavesdrop on the people conversation" Mom warned calmly.

"I'm sorry mom, I was thinking we would di..." I wanted say but they interpolated 

 "we are not gonna die" They chorused.

  They both knelt and hugged me .

"I don't need a trophy from you , all those things we taught you were free of charge" They chorused.

"we need a good night kiss from you " They chorused again.

  I almost laughed at how they were talking at the same time and saying the same thing. My parents thinks the same way.

I kissed both of them on the cheeks goodnight.

  "you can go and sleep, okay?" Mom said and I nodded.

I rushed upstairs to my bedroom , laid on my bed and slept off .

  I shifted to Dreamland about my family.

  Little did I know that my happy Dreamland would be destroyed by my own reality I failed to understand
