CHAPTER NINETEEN

"I have waited for many years, yet my brother has rejected three mates but me... I got no one. Mother, I'm getting old," Horace said, his voice direct.

Horace took a deep breath and let it out slowly before responding.

"I couldn't stand to see her suffer," he said, his voice low and serious. "She was heartbroken, and I knew she deserved better than to be cast aside like that."

Queen Naida regarded her son for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly as she considered his words. "I understand your compassion, my son," she said finally. "But you must realize that your brother may not take it likely, nor will he understand it from your point of view."
