SARA'S POV

I couldn't go home tonight.

That fact sank in as the clock ticked away. I was stuck here whether I liked it or not.

Grandma and Grandpa were staying and that meant that Danielle would cling to them until it was time for bed. I already distinctly heard her telling Grandma to share her room with her tonight, her little voice filled with excitement at the prospect.

But, little did she know that she had left me stranded by that simple action of hers.

After Grandpa made it known that they would be staying the night, and I got over my shock at hearing that, I had given it a quick thought and came to the conclusion that I would sleep in Danielle's room since I couldn't return to my apartment without rousing their suspicion.

What I didn't bet upon was Danielle asking grandma to do that instead. Now, I had no clue what to do.
