《REGRET UNTIL SHE SAYS GOODBYE 》全部章節：第 1 章 - 第 10 章

THIRD PERSON'S POVDerek stepped out of the conference room, exhausted from the three-hour meeting he had just had.Even though he was tired, there was a smile playing on his lips. He'd succeeded in closing yet another deal.He was on the winning side as always. His phone buzzed in his pocket as he made his way out of the new company he'd just acquired.Burying his hand in his pocket, he pulled out his phone to check the text message he'd just received. When he pulled down the notification panel, he saw that the message was from his wife, Sara. He tapped on it and just as he was about to read it, he was swiftly interrupted by small hands rounding his waist.“Alyssa,” he murmured before turning around to see her.A smile spread across the blonde woman's face.“How did it go?” Her voice was easy on the ears, not too high or shrill, and carried warmth.“Guess,” Derek smirked.“You got the deal?”“Yes,”He nodded.Alyssa hugged him and then kissed him on his cheek. “I'm so proud of you.”

SARA'S POVI woke up to find an empty bed.I sighed as I realized that Derek was gone. He'd fallen asleep last night after showering as if I wasn't there as if I hadn't asked him for a divorce. With a sigh, I rose from my bed, stretching my tired and stiff limbs for easier mobility then strolled to my daughter’s room. She was still sound asleep. There was a new teddy bear in her room.Derek must have gotten it for when he'd come home last night.I woke her up for a quick shower, dressed her for the day, and sent her to Mrs Rodriguez downstairs to eat breakfast while I prepared for work. When I was done showering, I dressed up in a pantsuit. Derek always hated it when I wore pants suits or jeans in general. He always said I was using it to get attention and that I was way too curvy to wear clothes like this.I stopped out of respect for him but now that I was leaving him, I was taking back my power, my dignity.Putting one final touch on my makeup, I stood tall and strode out of my roo

SARA'S POVThe next morning, I was back home, already packing my things from the mansion Derek and I shared. It was time I took charge of my life. Besides, waiting around for Derek to respond to my request for a divorce seemed like I was giving him the upper hand again when I could easily just get out of his space.I had to take back my dignity, and moving out was my first step.Packing wasn't so difficult. I didn't exactly have much to pack. Ever since I got married to Derek, I had not gotten much for myself. Derek gave me separate allowances for the three of us. But I prefer to spend my money on Derek and Danielle instead. As I was packing my books into a box, I saw the picture of Danielle cutting her birthday cake. She had two missing front teeth and was smiling big. It was a photo from last year, and the cherished memories it held still lingered before my eyes.I brushed my fingers lightly across its surface, then quietly returned it to its place. Now that I’ve chosen to leave, per

SARA'S POVThe next morning, I dressed up and went to work. The past days without Danielle around had felt like hell itself as I wasn't yet acquainted with staying without her, but when life treats you in the cruelest way, even you'd be shocked at how much you can take in.I had just stepped into the elevator and retrieved my phone to take a look at my schedule for the day when a notification popped up.It was a social media post from Bethany.Usually, I would have ignored it. I didn't view things like this at work but an hashtag I saw prompted me to open it.The moment I did, my eyes stung with tears and a dull ache blossomed in my chest. In the post I opened up, there was a picture attached. A picture of Danielle and Alyssa.Just like the hashtag, it was picturesque. Both were dressed in matching color of clothes and Danielle had a wide smile on her face that was impossible to ignore.Alyssa was beaming as well. She wasn't even family but she was accepted without hesitation not only

THIRD PERSONS POVDanielle had just returned back from school a few hours ago, but had refused to have her dinner because she believed her father and Alyssa would be coming to take her out for dinner. She was sitting in her room, making a drawing once more when her door creaked open then a maid walked in.She swiftly turned to the maid with a smile, “They're coming, right?” She questioned, dropping her pencil on the table. The maid forced a smile but Danielle noticed the change in her expression, so she stood. “Don't tell me they're not coming. I'm not having that. They promised.” She snapped at the maid who sighed.Danielle has always been like this. Stubborn and out of control and it was only Derek and Alyssa that could handle her, but what was she to do now that they're left alone? She crouched down to Danielle's level, then smiled briefly at her. “You know daddy and Alyssa wouldn't keep you waiting, huh? Something came up. Something happened and the dinner has been shifted to
