ELARA'S POV

Hmm. This felt so good. I thought to myself as I waded in the water, it had been so long since I had a bath and this was exquisite.

Beros had stopped for a while to go get more food so I took the opportunity to have a quick bath.

I didn't know lakes like this existed in this forest. It was beautiful. There were water daisies floating on the water and the water shimmered like it was magical.

It had to be magical because the minute I set my foot in, I relaxed almost instantly, like th

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   The calm before the hunt

ELARA'S POVI watched as the servants moved about diligently, preparing things for our journey. I tried to assist but no one would let me. I still wasn't used to having people at my beck and call though I was quickly realizing I would have to get used to it and to my new identity.......I had told Beros about the necklace and where I knew it was, the place it was calling me to. The images I saw were of a pack fenced off with high fences and a huge black iron gate. The pull of the necklace was pulling me north and Beros confirmed that that was his thought too.According to him, that was the place I had gotten the necklace and so, he already had an inkling that it might be true or clues there might point me to the necklace. The Moonstone pack. That's what he called it. I had never heard of that pack, I mean, not like I had heard of many packs. As the servants packed clothes I didn't think I would need on this journey, my mind drifted towards how the journey would be.I had never been

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   I remember

ELARA'S POVVisions of beings, the deities.Or were they memories?I was regaining my memory.I couldn't grasp the full meaning of the images I kept seeing. My eyes remained shut but my mind was open, taking in all the memories I saw.I reached up to grab my head and the book slipped out of my hands and landed on the floor with a thud."Elara, Elara, is everything alright?" I could hear Damian's voice in the distance, but I couldn't quite pinpoint where he was.A flash hit me, not a thought, an image, clearer than the others.Wind howling, my hair flipping and there, standing in front of me was a man.His face was blurred."Elariana" his voice sifted to me through the howling of the wind.My chest tightened. I gasped.I could feel the necklace pulsing on my skin, where it was supposed to be. I knew it wasn't with me.But in this memory, it was, and it pulsed hotly on my skin, as if trying to reach out to me, pulling me in a direction. My hand flew to my neck, half expecting to feel it

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   The Pull

ELARA' S POVI came back to the dining room hoping to find Beros still seated there, but he wasn't so I decided to take a walk around the castle grounds, and that's where I was now, not quite thinking about anything much, taking my time, one step after the other enjoying the scenery.I knew I had more questions to ask Beros but I wasn't really in the mood to even hear more answers, I was already too confused as it was, so I busied myself with slowly going round the castle, this was the 3rd time I had passed this spot now."The necklace" I thought to myself, as my hands reached up to my neck, it felt familiar, looking at it pulled an invisible string inside of me. I could tell just by looking at it that it was something that I had worn for a long time, possibly years.I closed my eyes to imagine what the necklace looked like"I wish Beros had left the drawing with me" but he didn't, so I had to make do with my own imaginations. It seemed to pull me in the more I thought about it, as if

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   Still waiting

THIRD PERSON'S POVBeros watched her as she made her way back up the stairs leading to her room, his eyes never leaving her till she disappeared round the curve of the winding staircase. He let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, running his hands through his hair, he walked back to the chair he was sitting at and plopped down on it."When would I ever get her back?" He said aloud to himself, not caring if anyone heard him, he was vulnerable. He stayed still for some minutes, just staring up at the ceiling of the castle, filled with intricate designs. One would think he was admiring the art work but it was quite the opposite, he was deep in thought. His mind drifted back to the past, painting the scenarios as vividly as they had happened. He closed his eyes and the images shifted behind his eyelids, recalling how he had begged her."Elariana, please don't do this" he pleaded, reaching his hand out to her, hoping she would take it, his eyes welling up with tears. The wind

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   More than a sacrifice

ELARA'S POVTears stung the corner of my eyes as I stood under the flower tree in the garden. I wondered what else was there that I had to find out.Beros had just given me a rundown of my whole life, my past life to be precise and I didn't know how to feel about it, the tears? They were falling on their own accord. My mind drifted back to what Beros had told me.There was a great war between the other deities and Nyxar, the deity of chaos, that was the one deity I had yet to read about. I wondered if reading about him first would have softened the blow of everything I had just found out today.Beros said during the way, I tried to fight Nyxar off because he wanted total control over the lives of all species, supernatural and humans alike, and I was heavily against it because Nyxar had set his sights upon my wolves, he wanted total control over all the wolves packs because he knew they were good for war.Nyxar was power hungry and wanted to be in total control, even to the extent of m

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   So I'm her?

ELARA'S POVI was still annoyed at how Beros had suddenly left my room after he had almost revealed something seemingly important again.Well, I hoped he was asking to see me this morning to tell me what he wanted to tell me.As I walked down the stairs, I thought about what it would be like to see him after last night. He had suddenly muttered an excuse and ran off without saying anything, I hoped things wouldn't be weird this morning.I genuinely couldn't sleep last night because of the thought of what new secret he wanted to reveal to me.Noticing I had reached the edge of the stairs, I walked over to the dining room to meet just Beros at the dining table, not nothing to ask where Damian was, I pulled out a chair and sat just directly opposite Beros."So..""I'm"We began to speak at the same time and stopped at the same time too, paused, looked at each other and then we both let out a laugh. His laugh was so hearty, mine so giggly. It was the best laugh I had had in a while and it
