ELARA'S POV

I quickly disentangled myself from Beros' grip as I turned hastily to face the intruder, which I now knew was a servant.

I noticed Beros' hand still on my arm, unwilling to let go and I dared to sneak a glance at him, only to be met with a face stifling anger, but not directed towards me, his anger was directed towards the servant who had disturbed us.

"My lord" the servant said again, this time bowing his head and taking a few steps back as he noticed Beros' expression.

THIRD PERSON POVElara's body fell to the ground with a thud, her body connecting with the ground faster than Beros could reach her."Help me" the words she said still hung in the air like an omen, cold and unmoving.Beros crossed the room to her side in a heartbeat and his heart skipped several beats as he took in the sight of her.Blood, dark red pulsing blood.Flowing from her eyes, her nose, her ears and her mouth."What could be wrong?" He thought to himself. As he cradled her in his arms, he shook her several times, but her eyes stayed shut as the blood kept dripping out.Her body burnt to the touch and even the blood that seeped out was hot.Beros was confused as this wasn't part of what was supposed to happen. He knew her powers would take some time coming back but he didn't know it would be this bad.Running out of options, Beros decided to use his powers and connect on a deeper level. He cradled her in his arms, lifted her up from the cold ground and carried her back to her

He asked gruffly, his chin tightening as he spat out the words.I had never seen Beros so angry before, he always seemed to be in control of his emotions. Was he this angry because we almost shared a kiss?A blush crept across my face as I tried to calm my still fast beating heart."It is Lord Damian, my lord, he said he has some urgent news for you..... and...and to send for you as fast as possible "the servant's stammering voice startled me out of my musings. His head still bowed down, a

ELARA'S POV"It's about Alpha Kane" Beros' words hit me like an unavoidable blow and I unconsciously took a few steps back. Beros reached out to grab me, noticing the shock all over my features.Alpha Kane, a name I had almost forgotten.Almost.But here it was again, right in my face, right in the future I just started living in. I thought I had found my way out of that life forever.Alpha Kane. My mate, the mate that rejected me. Why did the mention of his name rile me up so much?"Wh-what about him?" I managed to squeak out, needing to know what was at stake.Beros took his time to answer me, as if weighing options in his head. The silence stretched between us. What could he possibly have to tell me?And then he opened his mouth to speak "the order got word of someone, precisely a werewolf asking about the whereabouts of a girl named Elara" he said, the words hitting me all over again.Did this mean Alpha Kane was still searching for me?"The person seemed to have come from the Dar

ELARA'S POVI watched as the servants moved about diligently, preparing things for our journey. I tried to assist but no one would let me. I still wasn't used to having people at my beck and call though I was quickly realizing I would have to get used to it and to my new identity.......I had told Beros about the necklace and where I knew it was, the place it was calling me to. The images I saw were of a pack fenced off with high fences and a huge black iron gate. The pull of the necklace was pulling me north and Beros confirmed that that was his thought too.According to him, that was the place I had gotten the necklace and so, he already had an inkling that it might be true or clues there might point me to the necklace. The Moonstone pack. That's what he called it. I had never heard of that pack, I mean, not like I had heard of many packs. As the servants packed clothes I didn't think I would need on this journey, my mind drifted towards how the journey would be.I had never been

ELARA'S POVVisions of beings, the deities.Or were they memories?I was regaining my memory.I couldn't grasp the full meaning of the images I kept seeing. My eyes remained shut but my mind was open, taking in all the memories I saw.I reached up to grab my head and the book slipped out of my hands and landed on the floor with a thud."Elara, Elara, is everything alright?" I could hear Damian's voice in the distance, but I couldn't quite pinpoint where he was.A flash hit me, not a thought, an image, clearer than the others.Wind howling, my hair flipping and there, standing in front of me was a man.His face was blurred."Elariana" his voice sifted to me through the howling of the wind.My chest tightened. I gasped.I could feel the necklace pulsing on my skin, where it was supposed to be. I knew it wasn't with me.But in this memory, it was, and it pulsed hotly on my skin, as if trying to reach out to me, pulling me in a direction. My hand flew to my neck, half expecting to feel it

ELARA' S POVI came back to the dining room hoping to find Beros still seated there, but he wasn't so I decided to take a walk around the castle grounds, and that's where I was now, not quite thinking about anything much, taking my time, one step after the other enjoying the scenery.I knew I had more questions to ask Beros but I wasn't really in the mood to even hear more answers, I was already too confused as it was, so I busied myself with slowly going round the castle, this was the 3rd time I had passed this spot now."The necklace" I thought to myself, as my hands reached up to my neck, it felt familiar, looking at it pulled an invisible string inside of me. I could tell just by looking at it that it was something that I had worn for a long time, possibly years.I closed my eyes to imagine what the necklace looked like"I wish Beros had left the drawing with me" but he didn't, so I had to make do with my own imaginations. It seemed to pull me in the more I thought about it, as if
