What Do You Want From Me?

I was surprised to hear the sound of a familiar voice coming from the background from where I stood closer to Anna. Even though I was fully engrossed in finding out the truth on whose kids those children are. 

“Alfred, so it's true about all that I heard.” I turned around to face my dad whose voice was becoming too loud in the room. 

The moment I turned my back to look at him properly there I found him with Mira as she stood right beside him with her hands wrapped on her chest wearing a straight and worried face and there he dawned on me that Mira was behind my father's presence in here. 

I totally released myself off Anna's body and set her aside just to give my father undivided attention, seeing that he might have had certain misconceptions about what he just witnessed. 

I cleared my throat and put on a broad smile on my cheeks with a straightened face, “Dad, I don't know what you are talking about.”

Mira looked at me with a scornful face and scoffed aloud, “That's exactly what he keeps on saying. He can never for once admit to the fact that he is still in love with her.” She eyed at me and hissed out loud. 

Alpha Logan turned to face Mira, “I never for once asked you to speak in here. As you can see, I'm talking to my son so let me do the talking rather than interrupting me.” he raised his voice at her bashing her with his thoughts openly. 

From the way my father spoke to Mira I could see disappointment and embarrassment making fun of her on her face. Immediately she went cold and wrapped her hands together with her fist tightened and her head thrown to the ground in anger. Her heart was panting so fast and it felt as if she wanted to attack my father back with the same energy he used on her but she wrestled it back inside of her. 

“Dad, you shouldn't be in here by this time of the day at all.” I tried walking over to where he stood as I addressed him with a subtle tone of voice. 

I continued as I got closer to where he stood, “You are meant to be in your chamber while I come bring her to you.” I finally got to where he stood and wrapped my hands around his shoulder ignoring the fact that Mira was standing closely behind me. 

“Interesting! Alfred, I was waiting for you to bring her to my chamber but here you are professing your love to her without my consent.” 

I watched as Anna removed her face from my father's conversation as she acted as if she wasn't paying attention to every detail coming out of his mouth. She kept on focusing her attention to her wounds. 

I groaned in despair hearing all what he just said, “What feelings Dad? You and I know that I have no feelings for a weakling like Anna.” I threw my hands towards her where she sat on the floor attending to her wounds. 

“You are a liar, Alfred. I don't know what relationship you are trying to build with Anna but let me tell you that as far as I am involved you both won't work it out.” Mira dropped her two cents furiously and stormed out of the room aggressively. 

I don't know if Mira actually meant all the words that came out of her mouth or she was only furious seeing the closure I had with Anna when she bumped us in. I watched her as she turned to a shadow of herself without saying a word to her or giving her an audience. 

On the other hand, my father wasn't even bothered and concerned about the way Mira stormed out of the room aggressively. Immediately he knew that she was no longer in the room with us he snorted out. 

“Aren't you going to bring her to my chamber again?” He asked with his eyebrows raised while he projected his eyes to Anna. 

“I.. I.. thought..you were going to…” I stammered with my words trying to come up with a statement. 

“Going to do what, Alfred?” He questioned me taking a deep pause to reflect on my incomplete words. 

“Oh… oh!” He snapped his fingers into the air. 

“Oh! You thought I was going to.. 

“Do you think I have any words to say concerning the way that lady just behaved?” He asked me with a desire to know what my response would be. 

 “Father, she is not just a lady. You are talking to my woman and I'd love it if you can address her as Mira and not just a lady.”

Alpha Logan burst out a wicked laugh, “Your woman? With what she just displayed right in front of me?” He shook his head in disapproval. 

“I know that what she did wasn't right but that doesn't dispute the fact that she is still the one I love.” I corrected him trying to prove a solid point. 

My father flagged his hands right in front of me signaling to me to keep shut up as he made his way to the exit door. 

The moment he grabbed the door knob and twisted it, he turned back to speak up, “I don’t want you to keep me waiting. I need you to come with Anna to my chamber as soon as possible.” He said to me with a commanding tone. 

I nodded my head in affirmation, conforming to his words, “Yes father!’ I stood from behind as I watched him slam the door behind me. 

I rushed to the side of Anna as soon as I saw that my father wasn't in the room any more. I bent towards her ground level and tried placing my hands on her wounds but Anna wasn't having it this time with me. 

“What exactly do you take me for, Alfred? What do you want from a weakling like me?” She flared up using my words against me as she pushed my hands off hers.

I was dumbstruck to the sudden bashment I received from her. 

“What point are you trying to prove, Anna? Huh?”

She struggled to pick herself up from the floor even though her left leg was badly Injured yet she still tried to gain her stamina. 

Anna put on a straight face before releasing the question out of her mouth with a loud voice, “What do your father wants from me this time around?”
