EPI 5 FIRST PLAN IN PROGRESS

Inside my house, were Zoe and Lucas sitting at the open window of a small room looking out west onto the garden. As Zoe rested her head on Lucas' shoulder.

I still can't believe they think they are still going to fool me with their fake sibling relationships. They both thought I was in my room having a good afternoon rest, so I could gain enough strength for the matching ceremony…

I had planned to dress and not call her. In the past, she was the one who assisted me with the dress and makeup.

"Pftt how stupid of them both."  I thought in my mind as I rolled my eyes, still watching from up the stairs, with my bag beside me.

Though I still felt hurt watching the both of kept holding one another and Lucas having that stupid big smile of his. Like they should have given a little bit of respect knowing that they were now in my house.

I also looked out the open window, they were both staring at and fondling one another happily.

The late afternoon was bright and peaceful. The flowers glowed Orange and golden,  Ixora and sunflowers trailing all over the turf walls and peeping in at the round windows.

"Oh, Scarlett… since when have you been there?" Lucas asked with a startling gaze, attaining my awareness.

"Not too long…" I smiled at them, how could I have not noticed how the cat and dog fit one another so well?

"I was so lost in the beautiful afternoon view that I didn't notice the both of you sitting there.." I added again with a bright smile, so they didn't notice it was all a made-up lie.

I didn't miss the relief that washed their faces when I lied. I gently raised my royal blue armless ball frock… I had refused to put on the one I used in my former existence, gently I step down the stairs with my bag like the queen I am…

There is nothing that should make me feel sad today, I should be happy that I was given a chance to cultivate my betrayers some lessons.

"Wow… you look drop-dead gorgeous," Lucas said in amazement as I got to where the both of them were sitting. I didn't miss the way Lucas checked me out when strutting down to where they were.

"Hey! Stop checking her out, she is yet to be your mate." Zoe, grumbled with irritation clear in her tone. She must be mad that Lucas was checking me out.

"Zoe, I should be the one complaining though…" I reminded her so she doesn't blow out their secret.

"Ahem.." She cleared her throat knowing I was telling her to f**k off.

"How bright your garden looks, Scarlett" she murmured, trying to change the topic.

"Yeah, it is.." I replied smiling now and looking directly out the window. She sure is good with this sly game of hers and I am going to play along.

"I am very fond of it and I can't imagine myself leaving it here on standby to live with Lucas after today’s matching ceremony," I purposely diverted to the ceremony topic to get a little gist from them.

“You mean that you are definitely choosing Lucas as your mate and the Alpha of the clan?"Zoe inquired, with her eyes widened in excitement.

Wow, she isn't even trying to mask her facade, dew they both irritate me.

“Yea, I made up my mind months ago, when he showed me how truly he cares for me," I elucidated, emphasizing the words "truly" and "cared" laughing hard in my heart.

"Wow, that's my queen… I am gonna always care for you like the diva you are.." Lucas asserted, his voice filled with excitement.

"Scarlett, I thought you were going to put on the yellow gown we both picked the last time we went shopping.." Zoe, glanced at my dress with a surprised gaze as she eyed my dress.

"Oops, forgot to tell you I will be putting this on since it's also a very nice dress." I had told one of my mother clan elder ladies who is very good at making dresses, to help me get a new one since I don't plan on putting on the one I had planned to.

"What? Don't you like it?" I asked with a cunning smile knowing well she loved it and would love to have it.

“It's nice… it just… never mind…" she stuttered, still eyeing the dress.

"If you like it that much… I can give it to you after the ceremony… Today is going to be a happy day for me. So?"

"Very well… let's hasten up and proceed to the hall where the ceremony would take place, you know it’s almost time," she said again trying to hurry us up. If only she knows what shocking turning out of events today holds for them both.

"Oh Zoe, I forgot.." I went to get a bowl of water which was in the kitchen.

"I would like you to help me clean a part of my dress… I noticed a stained thee when checking the mirror." I said as I got back to them.

"Of course, I can.." She replied as I offered her the bowl of water mixed with oil and a towel.

I quickly let go of my hand from the bowl, which the oil and the water splashed on Zoe’s white long dress.

“Oh dear, I am so sorry I... I…” I quickly apologized, collected the bowl from her, and headed to the bathroom.

"What the hell Scarlett!" I heard screeching, while I just stuck out my tongue since my back was facing them.

“Not now, not today it’s almost time for the ceremony and we can’t wait any longer,”  Lucas said furiously, folding his fists just as the same time I got back to them.

Zoe looked at me casting me a deadly gaze, I felt a bit bad I did that to her but she deserved it.

“It's my fault, I will get going, you can wait for her, my presence is needed," I mumbled sadly, knowing too well that Lucas can not allow me to go alone.

“No no Scarlett, I will have to go with you, maybe Zoe..”  he stared in Zoe’s direction for so long.

“Are you here for Zoe or me?" I asked, observing the concern for Zoe on his face, he isn't even hiding it… I could see pure love in the stare he threw her way.

“I am here for you especially dear, but you know..” he shifted his gaze towards me now, obviously forcing a smile on his face.

“She would come along with my stepmom, you need not bother yourself about her," I then carried my bag and stepped out of the house, with Lucas tagging along from behind. I smile in victory knowing this.

I went into reminiscent of my past life, recalling how Zoe,  Lucas, and I went to the ceremony together.

Zoe was in the middle of I and Lucas, disrupting every conversation I would bring up.

"Now I changed that… How foolish of me to think of such now," I said silently so Lucas won't hear me.

"Welcome to your doom Lucas… this will teach you never to betray someone who trusted you with his or her heart in your next life.
