CHAPTER 2: BITTERNESS

Yna smiled and clapped so hard, ‘’Wow, just wow, Angelo, you are so proud. The rank has made you so proud. You have no reason to reject me, but you still went ahead and rejected me because of my rank,’’ she pointed out. ‘You will regret it Angelo but it will be too late. The Omega that you are seeing as weak today will be strong one day and teach you a lesson.’

‘‘You touched the wrong dial by rejecting me. You made a grave mistake by doing so Angelo. You still have time to redeem your mistake. Or I will give you time to think about it, I think you have no idea what you just did by rejecting me. I will give time Alpha…’’ Yna said.

Alpha Angelo sighed, ‘’ Are you even listening to yourself? An Omega, threatening an Alpha the ruler of the almighty Xander pack? What do you think you are?’’

‘’I am your mate,’’ she replied confidently.

‘’I am an Alpha the leader of this pack. I am a man of my words, I don’t need any fucking time to reject you.’’

‘’Angelo Marcus, you dared to reject me. You knew that I will have to bear the consequences but still you rejected me. You didn’t show any mercy. You even insulted me, you didn’t give a chance to explain myself, and you rejected my love and insulted it too. Not only that, you went ahead and broke rules of thousands of years.

From now on, I Yna Grey won’t be afraid of you. Everyone in Xanders pack is afraid of you and The Lucien pack is afraid of you, and scared of you because of the powers you possess but I won’t. One thing I understand today that’s why they called you brutal and merciless.

Because you are the only beast inside, you don’t have humanity at all. Yeah it’s the truth, the apple doesn’t fall away from the tree, but for your case you are different. Alpha Marcus, your dad was totally different. You broke the bond that every alpha in the park was afraid to do so. Even your father, was afraid to break the mate bond, but you broke that. Tell me if you are not brutal then what you are?’’

From today I won’t love you anymore. I will only ignore you for the rest of my life. But one thing you should put in your mind, I will suffer the consequences now, but for you when the time comes for you to suffer the consequences, you will surely remember this day. Mark my words Angelo Marcus. I curse you and you will regret it,’’ Yna said, trying so much to control her wolf not to take over her human form.

She sprang up on her feet instantly and started running out of the pack house, but suddenly, catching her unaware, Yna stumbled and bumped into someone. The body flung her body off, ‘‘Why so hurry…! ’’

Yna quickly balanced herself on her feet before mumbling her apology, ‘‘I am sorry…please’’ and made to walk past Dagon and continue with her journey to get out of the pack house.

Dagon turned and looked at her suspiciously, ‘‘Hold on,’’ Beta Dagon said. Yna scared and startled at the same time, she paused in her steps and waited to hear on what Beta Dagon had to say, without turning to look at him.

‘‘Have you been crying? What’s wrong?’’ he asked.

Yna, tempted to spill it out to Beta, what their Alpha was planning to do, or rather had already done but she was scared. ‘Maybe he will change his mind, after all he hasn’t rejected me publicly,’ Yna wondered.

She won’t bare it if the news about the Alpha rejecting her is known across the pack. She will surely be in trouble.

Yna embraced herself and chuckled, ‘‘No, it’s nothing, Actually, I am frustrated that I am the weakest Omega in the pack. The new moon festival is taking so long to come, I want to acquire new powers and maybe move to the next rank.’’

Although Omega Yna was trying so much to avoid her voice breaking. It was not difficult for Beta Dagon to notice the fear in her voice.

‘‘Is that so? But wait a minute why do you need more powers? The alpha will be protecting you and the pack.’’

‘‘No! ...i mean, why should I depend on someone else powers? I want to learn on protecting myself. Anyway I have no time, Beta, I will be on my way,’’ Yna said and started walking away.

‘‘Where are you going? You are leaving the pack?’’ Beta Dagon asked.

‘‘I will appreciate if you learn to mind your own business?’’

Back to the penthouse, Angelo stood up and smiled, finally he had changed or rather broken one rule that seemed to be unbreakable. He was very proud of himself that he had made it clear to Yna, the omega that is supposed to be his mate and finally the LUNA of the pack.

Angelo stood up and went to his bedroom, he changed his cloths and wore something magnificent, he walked to the mirror and stared at his reflection. He couldn’t believe the colour of his eyes, he now understood why the pack respected him not only his pack but the rival pack, the Lucien pack. His eyes, so black or should I say dark and cold, they were lifeless. But an Omega had sworn not to fear him.

‘What do you have in store Omega? I will be waiting’ he thought then walked out of his room he was satisfied with how he looked.

Alpha Angelo and Beta Dagon had decided to try and mingle with human before the new moon festival when every werewolves will have an urge for blood and to acquire more powers.

He walked out of his throne room, out of the penthouse and met Beta Dagon at the gate.

‘’I have kept you waiting right? Let’s go.’’ The Alpha said.

Dagon was hesitant; he wanted to inquire about the alpha Angelo and Omega Yna, but retrained. They entered a Mercedes Benz and left driving in high speed.

Dagon wanted to ask Angelo what Yna was doing in the throne room but restrained. He learned that Angelo, not only is he, his friend but now the leader of the pack, the Alpha of Xanders pack, their leader. He should have wisdom before asking him, because everyone knows how temperamental Alpha Angelo is.
