"Mommy see! have a birdie!"

I turned to look at Blakely who was holding up a bird shaped dough in her hand. "That's wonderful, sweetie. Now place it on the pan," I pointed at the pan beside her.

She nodded and did as she was told.

Anya had gone grocery shopping and Blakely and I were hungry so we decided to make cranberry and chocolate cookies. We also planned on making ice cream but that will be after we were done with the cookies.

When we were done cutting out the dough, I placed the pan in the oven and we began to clean up.

More than thirty minute later, we were seated by the counter eating ice cream and cookies. They tasted like heaven and I felt satisfied.

"I am hungry!" Yeka sang as she walked in. "Auntie!" Blakely waved happily. Yeka chuckled and approached her. "Hello to you too, little bean," she pecked the little girl's forehead and took a seat beside me.

I glared at her when she took one of my cookies.
