CHAPTER 42 PART II
The king’s form disappeared and I was left staring at thin air. My whole body was sticky from sweating so much in my sleep. All I needed was to soak in warm water filled with my oils and shower gel, music playing in the speakers. My eyes closed with the picture in my mind but as I opened my eyes they fell on the long legs of the queen covered by something that I guessed to be a white robe and behind her was the river that waited for me. My body was protesting, it being nice being here but now that I had no other option it was suddenly not so nice.
“Go bath. I have your robes, I have already bore through much torture at staring at your bare body” The queen said, cheeky as always. I wished I could say that I had gotten used to her snaky comments but I had not and did not think I ever would, she seemed determined to make me regret the day I wed her son.

I happily sighed, my eyes still closed as I turned with a wide smile on my face. My body was tingling, the sun bathing on us as we lay down. He held me tight as if afraid I would vanish in his arms. The animal was decomposing, flesh peeling from the bone with a smell that had me coughing hard. The grass surrounding it was dying, having me scramble away so far until I hit a rock. I did not know what to do, my body shaking so bad with shock having hit hard. Tears fell through, not knowing what had happened. Time passed with no one coming. No one came even after the longest time having me to begin screaming. I could not move. My limbs were paralyzed, scared the storm would come back and finish me off. My mind kept screaming for me to get up and run for the cave yet I could not move. It seemed as if I had been bolted on the ground. I sat there, my eyes not moving from the animal with the fear of it coming back to life and eating me. The sun went by, my heart beating so fast even after such a long time. My stomach was emptied over and over again, the smell getting more pronounced with more grass and trees dying as if the animal carried poison that was spreading through the garden.

My hand brushed on my chest, willing my heart down but like a brick to the face, the memories hit me hard.
