CHAPTER 42 PART III
It was a few minutes later when I walked out. My hair cascaded down my back with water falling from it. It’s silver colour was bright and vibrant, everything about me bright and vibrant.
I walked up to the group, the queen still on her story, probably telling another one though because how long can a story be?
“Sorry to disturb your majesty but can I have the robes?” I asked with the queen not saying anything back. I stood there, shifting my weight from side to side wishing I could disappear and never exist. I knew we were all supposed to be free with our bodies but it was just so uncomfortable and humiliating. I waited and after a long while she stood up and turned to stare at me.
The queen’s face lingered, taking me up and down having me sigh and clench my fists wishing I could just smash her. She stared at me or I guess she was because I could not really see her face with her shine too bright.

The animal was decomposing, flesh peeling from the bone with a smell that had me coughing hard. The grass surrounding it was dying, having me scramble away so far until I hit a rock. I did not know what to do, my body shaking so bad with shock having hit hard. Tears fell through, not knowing what had happened. Time passed with no one coming. No one came even after the longest time having me to begin screaming. I could not move. My limbs were paralyzed, scared the storm would come back and finish me off. My mind kept screaming for me to get up and run for the cave yet I could not move. It seemed as if I had been bolted on the ground. I sat there, my eyes not moving from the animal with the fear of it coming back to life and eating me. The sun went by, my heart beating so fast even after such a long time. My stomach was emptied over and over again, the smell getting more pronounced with more grass and trees dying as if the animal carried poison that was spreading through the garden.

I sat in the dry ground, my legs crossed with a white robe covering my body as my head hung so low. The witches were in a circle around me, they were chanting with the voices so low and so gently like a siren’s song.
