CHAPTER TWO[Joy, pains, and sorrows]

Rudolf leaves Rhoda alone in the reception hall after the nuptial oaths are exchanged, while the guests enjoy their wedding day. Early pregnancy tests suggest that Rhoda's pregnancy is having a beneficial impact on her family life, but she keeps it secret from everyone to avoid controversies, while her cousin offers her the choice of aborting or keeping her baby in her womb.
