“What do you mean?” I asked.

“May I open the mind link with the five of you so that I can show you?” Aria asked.

“Yes.” We chorused and took each other’s hands.

An image of Elijah, Gaia, and Dimitri sitting on the bench appeared. But it wasn’t clear. There was an inky mass surrounding each of them but it would morph and combine with whoever was close. We had seen this only once before.

“Oh no.” Tulip gasped.

“Oh no what? What do you think it is?” Aria asked Tulip.

“We’ve seen something similar to this. It was when we were younger. Herb, do you remember?” Rowan said and asked.

“You mean when Tulip got lost in the woods and Ricky found her?” Herb scoffed. “How could I forget? Mom and Dad nearly packed us all up and moved because of that Fae.”

“Fae?” Aria asked.

“Faeries are Fae; it’s more an all-encompassing term for a bunch of species. Faeries, Gnomes, Trolls, Elves, the list goes on.” Rose explained.
