Chapter 31: You are not meant to enjoy it!

Alexander slowly opened his eyes to an unfamiliar environment; even though his vision was blurry, he could still make out his room. And he was certain this was not his room. He spent the first few seconds of his awakening rubbing his eyes, trying to recall any incident that occurred before he fell asleep.

He sat up with his brow furrowed, looking around the room, feeling disoriented, and his head was throbbing fiercely.

He blinked his eyes severally and was able to get rid of the blurred vision so that he could take in his environment properly. He gazed around the room again, and then he saw a comb, toiletries, and a bedside table with an intercom. The realization hit him.

Alexander realized he was in a hotel room; he could not remember checking into a hotel, and there was no way he would check into a hotel that looked like this. He tried to remember how he had gotten there. He started to rack his brain and try to put together the events that happened befo
