“Embry and I have to go to a meeting with the Elder Council, will you be ok alone?” Osric questions, watching me walk over to the lounge by the fire wearing his dusty pink robe.
“I’ll be fine, Eya and Mum will be downstairs so I’m safe, and I need to rest anyway,” I answer, sitting back down as Osric passes me a pillow for my lower back.
“If you need company Eya will be happy to come up here and annoy you,” Embry teases, handing me my sketchbook and a pouch of pencils.
“Liliana left your bag from the hotel,” Embry mentions, a blush creeping up my cheeks, feeling glad to have the nice sketchbook Liliana got me.
“Thank you, I promise I’ll link you if I need anything. I know Eya and Mum are downstairs I’ll be ok,” I reassure them, reaching up pulling Embry’s head down kissing him playfully, letting his lips and tongue fervently consume mine.
“Good, we should be back around lunch time.” Osric watches Embry and I with an adoring smile enjoying the show.
“Sounds good, I think I’ll find something to read,” I muse, looking around at the bookshelves, watching Embry as he approaches one.
“Do whatever you like, just make sure you relax,” Osric chuckles, leaning down to kiss me gently, sucking my bottom lip into his mouth.
“I will, when you get back, I want to cuddle with your wolves,” I awkwardly request, watching Embry move to stand beside Osric with a large book in his hands as they both smile at me.
“You’re craving us in every way even our wolf side. You only have to ask; we want you comfortable. You’re carrying our pups,” Osric soothes gently, looking down at the book Embry holds out for me.
“I remember seeing Poe in your room in California,” Embry answers, handing me a beautiful dark brown leather-bound collection of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories and poems.
“I love his stories and poems; my favorite is A Dream,” I mention, before gently paging through the book to find it. While reciting the poem from the book, I look up to see Embry and Osric both chuckling at m.
“Gideon likes Poe as well; Osric has quite the library, you’ll enjoy quite a few of them,” Embry says as he walks to the closet to get dressed. I love having that in common with my dad.
“So, my name was influenced by Poe?” I ask them, opening my sketch book with the Poe book now sat on the table at the head of the lounge.
“Only a little, your dark hair is the main reason,” Osric answers, following Embry into the closet to get dressed.
“I remember Gideon saying something like that just like Liliana for purity because her hair,” I smile at the memory of when Liliana and I asked our dad about our names and why we look different despite being near identical. We come from a split egg; the only difference is Liliana lacks the pigment in her hair and eyes where I apparently took it all.
“Gideon adores you girls, he’s become quite the man and father since you were both born,” Osric mentions from inside the closet, Embry comes out in jeans and a green t-shirt, that accentuates his muscular chest underneath the soft fabric.
“Good luck with the Elders, we’ll be here waiting,” I smiling at my handsome mate, rubbing my belly, feeling the flutters as our babies kick and roll.
“Good we’ll be back,” Embry walks over to me leaning down and kisses me tenderly before leaving the room. Osric emerges from the closet in just a pair of black jeans.
“No shirt?” I question, making Osric look down at me with a raised eyebrow, as my cheeks heat under his gaze.
“No, I have a feeling I’ll overheat if I wear a real shirt talking to the Elders,” he admits, pulling my chin up, as I feel butterflies in my stomach at the gentle tingles he leaves in his wake.
“I’ll be here if you need me, and if the Elders still have a problem accepting me, Embry and I will go back to Wolf Creek. But I want to build a new home for us closer to the border of Blood Moon,” I mention looking up into my mate’s intrigued expression.
“Everything should be fine after the meeting. We can talk about building house on the border, it would be nice to be close so we can be together more often,” Osric reassures me, leaving a kiss on my lips before walking towards the door.
I wind up drawing a picture of Embry and Osric lying in bed cuddling, the way I found them after our first night, the three of us together.
“How are you feeling Dear?” A warm kind voice makes me jump, dropping my sketchbook onto the floor with a thud.I must have dozed off watching the fire, reminiscing about my mates.
“Pretty good aside from being exhausted,” I answer sitting up. I move my feet so Mum can sit, when I notice her placing a tray laden with tea and scones on the table in front of me.
“Carrying pups is exhausting all on its own, I can’t imagine how tired you are after facing Orin. You should hear the reverence in Osric’s voice when he talks about it,” Helena speaks proudly of her son, as she walks over to the closet.
“He didn’t plan on leaving without me, even if it meant killing everyone there, I just did what came naturally to me,” I admit, nonchalantly shrugging my shoulders, sitting up making sure to hold my robe closed.
“Embry’s right you are quite modest,” Helena laughs, coming out with a pair of black sweat pants and one of Embry’s tank tops.
“Thank you, I’m not sure it is being modest as much as it is understanding what could have happened, and that I got lucky,” I answer her, standing up, I thankfully take the clothes from her and head towards the bathroom to change.
“Once you’re dressed if you’re feeling up for it, we can go on a walk around the pack,” Helena suggests from the main part of the room, as I pull on Osric’s sweat pants inside the bathroom.
“A walk would be nice, but I don’t think Osric wants me wandering around without someone watching over me,” I mention, grabbing my folded sports bra off the pile of folded clothes on the counter.
“Kitty and Nikki have stayed behind to make sure warriors from Wolf Creek stay with you at all times, Osric should be satisfied if they stay with us,” Helena reassures me with her warm motherly voice. Once I’m finished dressing and walk out into the room she holds up a pair of fur lined boots for me.
“Sounds good, I could use the fresh air,” I admit, sitting down after taking the boots and a pair of socks from her.
“Gideon is right, you’re quite like Jyrki and I’ve noticed Liliana is very much like Addy,” Helena states as I pull my socks then boots on. “How do you know my grandmother?” I ask, grabbing her hand and holding my belly as she helps me up. “May I? I’ve known your grandmother since we were small girls, she’s only a week older than I am. We’ve been best friends since we were maybe five.On our way to our lessons we found Jyrki hurt from a fight with a few older boys and we healed him together. We’ve been inseparable ever since,” Helena answers as I nod my head, pulling her hand over my bump where one of the babies kicked. “Of course, they’re your grandbabies and I can’t wait for them to meet you. Mummo is amazing, but everyone is right I do favor Vaari. Maybe it’s being a tom boy or always going sledding and hunting with him, but we bonded differently,” I admit, shrugging my shoulders before walking over to grab a the black cloak that smelled like Osric to keep warm. “He’s a good man,
“How are your pups?” Kitty asks, looking at the clothes that are hanging at the entrance of the covered stall. “Growing like crazy,” I answer, looking around hearing giggling and whispering coming from the edge of the stall, that is set up like a covered 10’x10’ shop. “No wonder Tara isn’t threatened when his mate looks like a whale, I’m sure Osric will be back with her in no time,” one of the girls quietly giggles, making me freeze and take a deep breath to calm myself. “Raven,” Kitty softly speaks, grabbing my hand and looks at me in concern, as she clearly didn’t hear the comment. “I’m ok,” I reassure her, shaking my head trying to ignore the girls’ comments. I know Osric would never go back to Eya’s mother. “I heard Osric’s already back with Tara, and they never stopped fucking. He’s only with his mate because his witch of a mother’s beliefs about the bond being sacred,” the other girl adds, without even attempting to be quiet, making Kitty growl as my rage begins to build. “
“Alpha Raven, your Luna and future Queen told you to remove your hand from her wrist, I suggest you do so now if you wish to leave with your life as well as the lives of your daughters intact.” Osric’s voice bellows from behind me. I hear Helena gasp from the shop door as my body trebles from my own rage and what I feel through the bond. “Alpha Osric, your mate struck my daughter permanently disfiguring her…” James begins to speak then grabs his throat when his voice to become mute. His tilt his head to the side in confusion as I do my best to mask a slight smirk knowing Osric is using his aura to silence him. “You will remain silent. Alpha Embry observed the entire interaction. My mate is well within her right to discipline your daughter for her disrespect and slander. Both girls will spend a week in the cells while Ella will suffer 100 lashes. James you will also be punished with 100 lashes of braided silver for insubordination and daring to touch this packs Luna while carrying m
“Osric! Hurry up, I’m starving!” I call out from our room now that I can’t really get out of bed without help thanks to my giant belly. I can’t move fast since my center of gravity is beyond messed up, and I’m always knocking things over forgetting how far my belly sticks out. “I’m right here Bunny,” he laughs from the door, carrying a bowl of rice with stir-fried rabbit and vegetables. My mouth waters and I drool, I have been craving rabbit in all forms my entire pregnancy. “Embry can only cook so fast, he made your lunch first,” Osric adds, walking over placing the bowl on the side table next to me, he rubs his other hand over my giant belly. “Thank you, I’m just so hungry,” I giggle, looking up at him feeling both his large hands on my belly. I’m beyond ready for our son and daughter to come out so we can finally meet them. “Always Bunny, how are our our baby boy and girl doing?” Osric questions, propping me up with pillows helping me to sit. “Making it hard to breathe, I swe
“It’s Liliana, come in.” I call out, while holding onto the edge of the tub as I move to my knees letting the warm water support my belly.“What’s going on? Why is Daddy getting everyone prepared to evacuate to Blood Moon?” Liliana questions, coming into the bathroom with Aiden in her arms as he chews on his fingers.“Lucas is getting ready to attack, we need to get everyone who can’t fight out of danger; if we lose land that’s fine, but I won’t let them lose their lives.” I answer, looking back as Osric gently massages my hips and sides of my belly.“What about you?” Liliana questions, looking behind her to see our dad in the doorway.“I have to stay here; I can’t just leave Wolf Creek during an attack. I’m sorry, Daddy, I command you to get Liliana and her son to Blood Moon’s border and protect our people. I will be ok. I have Osric and Embry; Eya is also coming.” I look my father in the eye hating using my alpha command on him, but I know I have to or else Liliana will fight to sta
“Wow,” I gasp, looking out the window at our beautiful new multi-story home. It has been built in the style of a modern Viking long house. There is a large upper deck set against a wall of windows, with a view of the lake that will be a perfect place to relax. I can see myself sitting with my mates and our pups watching the sunrise over the lake.“Liliana helped a lot with ideas of what you liked, on the deck off our room there is a hammock and day bed. The upstairs is a loft with vaulted ceilings and skylights so we can watch the northern lights. Our den downstairs is still being worked on, but it’s nearly there,” Osric admits, walking around opening my door for me and helping me out of the car.“It’s so beautiful, thank you both of you. I couldn’t ask for more,” I feel tears well in my eyes while looking up at the home they built for us and our pups.“We love you Raven, just like you we wanted a place that’s ours. If we have guests, they can stay at the guesthouse down the road, and
“They’ve crossed the border.” Osric growls from the bar, getting some ice for me as I’ve been in labor all day, it’s nearing 2 A.M. and the full moon is nearly at its peak. My dad was right, almost an hour after getting here, the room filled with Osric and Embry’s scents, I couldn’t stand anyone else coming into the room. Even Liliana coming in makes me growl, feeling like I have to keep this room safe from anything and anyone for my pups. “Embry!” I cry out, gripping onto the pillow in front of me as tight as I can when I feel a very strong contraction hit hard. “It’s ok we’re right here.” Osric hurries over to me as I shake my head feeling more pain shoot through my stomach and back. “Sorry, I had to check in with Ryder, the fighting has begun.” Embry apologizes, coming over to me, they are both dressed in boxers after shifting back when we ate dinner. “It hurts so badly.” I whimper while digging my claws into Osric’s forearm, now on my hands and knees, as he moves closer and r
Liliana’s POV “It sounds like she has two healthy pups.” Mummo smiles while looking up at the ceiling when we hear Raven’s cries stop only to hear her babies. “Good, I can’t imagine how exhausted she must be.” I smile at Aiden, laying back on the lounge with him in my lap. “Birthing two, I can only imagine.” Karen speaks making me nod, when I see her shake her head. “Raven is strong, exhausted now, but strong.” I admit, staring at my son as he leans forward and hugs my belly. “Just as exhausted as I was when I had you.” I smile at Aiden who looks up at me with a giant gummy grin giggling. “He’s so precious.” Mummo smiles down at us then sits by my legs, and runs her fingers through Aiden’s blonde hair. “He really is, he’s going to be such a perfect big brother.” I yawn when Aiden does, making me look at the clock to see it’s almost four in the morning. “He will, Ryder will be so enamored with them both,” Mummo muses, as I watch my father and Vaari become alert, rushing towards
