Rejected By Alpha, Marked By The Cursed Lycan King

Camilla's POVI was warned about the danger of the rogues along this border, but my instinct gave me no room to reconsider. With my claws thudding against the ground, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. That could only mean one thing; retreat. But I was soon surrounded by rogues, their teeth bared, ready to tear me apart.I lunged at them, kicking hard at their heads, fighting off tens of wolves with what little strength I had left. I glanced back toward the direction of my pack. Noelle was nowhere in sight. She had run off the moment she heard that menacing howl echo through the air.The rogues charged at me, letting out guttural growls, their eyes dark and wild with hunger. I met them head-on, fighting with every last ounce of strength until something struck me from behind. My eyes snapped shut as I crashed to the ground. I felt the scrape of leaves and the sting of stumps bruising my face as a wolf pounced atop me. It drove its claws into my spine, and a painful moan tore fro

The door slammed shut and my heart skipped a beat. I watched Lycan Cassius drop his box case on his large, king-sized bed. He took off his shoes and turned around to look at me, still staying close to the door. I lowered my gaze, and I felt footsteps coming towards me quickly. "What skills do you possess?" His question sounded abrupt, and my gaze remained lowered as I didn't have an answer to this. He raised his voice, and I felt his fists knocking at the air. "Take your eyes off the floor and look at me when I am speaking to you."I quickly raised my gaze, setting it on his chest instead. I couldn't return those brutal stares. They were piercing my eyes. The room felt tense, and for many reasons, I just wanted to go out and breathe a deep sigh of relief. "I can see that mark on your neck. It's an honorary badge given to warriors, but it amuses me that you can't answer a simple question," he said, a smirk playing on his lips which faded the moment I stared at him. "Keep the gaze i

Camilla's POVThe tick of the clock jolted me awake as I stifled a gasp. I hoped I wasn't running late already. I sighed when I saw that it was just 7:09 a.m. I let out a deep breath, and my eyes caught the view of Kate mopping the floor and wiping sweat off her forehead with her palms."You're up? Oh wow," Kate said happily and dropped the mop to the floor as she tried to reach me, but I stopped her midway."You've woken up so early to work. I'm going to do the same thing. I hope your night was great," I said with a wink, and she nodded and smiled.I quickly searched the wardrobe for my work attire. Cassius had sent Jace last night to deliver the clothes to me. I would need to wear them each time I was going to work in his room.I rushed out of the room after wearing it. I walked quickly to reach his room, as the clothes were revealing. I had to cover my chest with my palms as I hurried off.The door was slightly open, and I let out a final breath before stepping in. The guards knew

Camilla's POVI sat on my bed and stared at the wall, dropping the cup of coffee that Kate had just made for me. The memories of what happened yesterday came back to mind, and I shook my head in despair. Was this how it was going to continue?Early this morning, I went to clean up his room since it was my daily task, and I was glad that he wasn't around to inspect my work. I ran out of the room as soon as I was done, and then I ran into Jace, who informed me about my next duty in this pack.As the name implied, Blood Moon Pack was the pack that the Lycan King ruled because of his strict adherence to celebrating the Blood Moon festival. Jace, the Beta of this pack, gave me a set of instructions on how I would be active in tonight's festival. It sounded a little weird that I would be going to a festival, as Damon would never allow that when I was still in his pack."Ma'am, please what does the time say?" My eyes were still gazing at the walls as I asked Kate, who was sitting opposite me

Camilla's POVI returned upstairs to drop the tray of drinks, only for Ivy to instruct me to deliver meat to the Alphas again. Why couldn’t she just send me all at once?Letting out a deep sigh, I received the meat and was about to leave when she held my hands and glared at me."Drop the tray on the table and come inside," she ordered, and I couldn’t help but obey her. When she took me inside, she asked me to take off my dress and wear something lighter and a little revealing, describing how the Alphas had to be entertained as well.I changed into a lighter dress without arguing, then carried the tray and went to serve the Alphas again. When I got to Damon once more, his eyes locked with mine, and he rolled his tongue in pleasure, winking at me, trying to say something.I dropped his meat on his table and ignored his words as I served the other Alphas.I couldn’t even focus anymore. His presence at this festival was already ruining everything. How could I be trying to forget about my
