At one end was a large platform, where he sat, surrounded by his court. At the other end was a gate, which led to the beasts that would be set loose upon Harold.

Harold was given a weapon, a short sword, and a shield. He looked at them, feeling the weight of the steel in his hands. He had never used a sword before, but he knew that he would have to use it to survive.

He looked around the arena, seeing the beasts that were waiting for him. There were wolves, bears, and even a giant snake. He took a deep breath and steeled himself for the fight and his eyes sighted Gonzalo with an evil smirk behind the beasts in the dark and disappeared.

Harold knew who was behind this mess and consoled himself to not be shaken by Gonzalo's dark presence, he wasn't going to let him win.
