Prologue

"What? Of the 1.5 Billion I invested, only 900 million came back to me !" I clenched my fist and smashed the table as I speak to Klaus, the Marketing Head of my company.

"Sir, I'm sorry, but according to the CEO of Druid Corporation, supplies from Greece have fallen so they have been affected."

"I don't give a damn about their issues!" I shouted as I slap the table. "I want my money back!" I pick the papers in front of me and throw it unto him.

"B-but S-sir ..."

"No buts! Call them, if they can't get my money back within one week, tell them I'll take their company as collateral," I said as I walked towards the large window behind me. I looked at the bright blue sky, trying to calm myself, thinking my way out of this.

Damn it! I just lost six hundred million worth of stocks. But is their company even worth it? Even if they agreed … is it too much if they agreed? Their debt is six hundred million dollars, and their company is at least worth two point three billion dollars.

Well, it doesn't matter…

I strolled and grabbed my chair to take a seat. I clasped my hands while laying my elbows on the table, taking a deep breath, ducking my head below my hands thinking, that at any cost…

'The company cannot go bankrupt.'

After a few thoughts in mind, I immediately grabbed my phone and called my secretary.

"Lucy, make an appointment for me on Thursday, I would like to have a meeting with the Board of Directors of my three other companies, tell them attendance is a must, no excuses."

"Got it, sir!" She nodded and walked out the door.

Yes, I have three more companies. How I got it? The answer lies all in my mind. I enslave my brain, grasp and control it. Use it to its utmost potential. Today's society is used to being enslaved by our brains, and what it says is what we do, without further scrutinizing if it will be for the betterment of our life. That is when the toxicity starts to emerge within us.

I started running a small-time business, selling things here and there. I educated myself because I grew up without a recognized parent and relative. I raised myself on the street. I know the importance of education, so no matter what hardships I go through, I studied without asking for help from anyone. I have a brain, and I use that. I am smart, so I used whatever skills I have to graduate. Whatever the means, I just want my life to be good. When I was 18, I started working for a small company.

I was 25 when I became the CEO of the company I worked for and was called the youngest millionaire in all of Asia. How? Not only am I smart, I am a genius, my mind works in a very unique way, I can not explain, but people who encountered me call me a genius, and I think that explains it.

'In a world where money is everything.'

'I want to stand on top.'

While I was deep in my thoughts, the door in front of me suddenly opened, and someone bulged in."Sir! The CEO of the Druid Corps agreed to your conditions."

'Just as I suspected.'

I looked at him in his eyes and grinned, "In that case, arrange the papers for me."

Not only did the Druid Corps go bankrupt, but there must also be some sort of reason. There's no way in hell that they will accept my offer. In exchange for their 600 million debt, they will give me the company worth 2.3 billion.

'Wait, Greece?' I stood up as I realized something.

I once again grabbed my phone and contacted my secretary. "Lucy! Check all my ties and connections with Greek companies, then send them to my e-mail, ASAP!"

'Damn! This should be a trap! '

I was walking hysterically while thinking of something, I do have lots of connections in Greece since they have the most successful shipping company in the world, and Druid Corps is a shipping company, I have a good relationship with Maxer, their CEO, but it's not coming into pieces! Supplies can't go bankrupt in Greece, so why? My whole body is shaking, it just doesn't feel right. My strength is slowly being depleted, my thoughts are draining me, I can't even lift my fingers.

As I finally figured what's going on. The sky is gradually becoming darker and darker making the day look night. I checked my watch and see that it is still twelve five in the noon. "Wait, what the hell is happening?" I shouted so loud as if the veins in my neck would explode.

This time, the sky is dark everything around me went darker. I can't see nor hear anything, there is not a single thought that comes to my mind that can explain what is happening.

My whole body is now trembling in fear, I can't move… as the sky turned darker as if it's nothing, like my thoughts, it feels like I'm in a void floating in nothingness. It didn't took long… Soon after, that void engulfed everything before me.

'What is this sensation?'

It feels like it is consuming me… My… My whole existence is being devoured.

I tried to look around, but I see nothing, I widened my eyes hoping to see at least streak of light, my hope. But struggles are futile, there's no end to this infinite darkness.

I tried to close my eyes, conceiving this ambiance.

Unfortunately, all I felt is...
