"Play tag under the rain. It would be super fun!" With a toothy grin, I faced him. His forehead creased at my unbelievable suggestion.

"What are you, a five year old?" I rolled my eyes at him. "No killjoys, please. Let's go." I pulled him by the hand. He didn't complain and stayed quiet as I drag him out of the room.

We went outside. He stopped by the door and looked at me, his emerald green eyes searching my face, hoping that what I had said earlier was merely a joke. But sadly, it wasn't. 

I didn't wait for him and ran outside. Looking up, the sky was a mixture of gray and black, the colors that I once hated the most. It reminded me of pain and mourning. Where my rainbow had decided to never show itself to me again. But today...today seems different as a smile crept up my face
