Chapter 10

“Stop the damn car!” I hear Chris yell as I continue to convulse. It is like I have no control over my body, I am so scared.

A truck honks loudly behind us and Sergio panics. The car swerves to the right, causing us to drive right off the road and into a metal street light pole. The tires of the car make a loud shrieking noise as the car makes an impact.

My body finally relaxes and my throat releases, causing me to take in a deep breath as if I was just saved from drowning in the middle of the ocean.

That must have been the effects of the drug that I took.

I reach for Chris’ hand and I hold it tightly as my lungs take in all the air they were deprived of.

When I look at him, I realize that he is unconscious and there is a small cut on his head that is bleeding a lot.

“Agh,” Sergio groans as he tries to open the door of the car. He looks hurt, but it does not look serious or deadly. Just a few cuts and minor bruises on his arm and head.
