Liza's POV

The shimmering ray of light penetrated through the curtains.

My eyelashes fluttered gradually till it revealed the well-furnished room.

It was a strange room. I've never been here, not in my past or present life.

The bed seemed to be king-sized. I was covered with a colourful quilt.

I tried sitting up when the door gently opened after a subtle knock.

“Don't make any rash movement, you'll hurt yourself,” his voice was calm like that of an angel.

“What am I doing here?” I pretended like he was talking to thin air, but expected him to answer my question.

“This is the only place you could stay for now,” he responded and I was shocked. I mean Leo is a very cocky and arrogant person.

“I want to go home. Right now.” I said firmly without looking away from his back that was turned against me.

He was checking something on the desk and honestly, I think he was just being arrogant. Why would you be talking to me and have your back turned against me?
