Oriel’s POV

“Please, who are you? I need my friend back,”

A scream left me the moment she came out in this very hot dress.

I've never for once seen her dress this gorgeous. She has a mad figure.

Every flesh in the appropriate position has enough.

I mean the a**? Don't get me started. Round, perfect and well sculpted.

Her jawline is so sharp and perfect. With just a bit of makeup, she looks like a fairytale princess.

I know she has always emitted this princely character. I feel it's in-built.

She ensues this royalty and, today? It was so evident I couldn't help but see clearly.

“Well, she's right in front of you,” she replied with grace.

“Ohh… I see now. For a moment, I thought there was a shady exchange that went down behind me,”

We laughed and I handed her the gold purse that we got to compliment her dress.

I was also dressed in a similar gown. The only difference was that I had silver instead of wine.

If you know me, you'll know I love silver dresses.

Liza's POV “You need to” Zoe caught a cut off in the middle of her statement. There was no need for a divine intervention for me to realize that she was coming for me.“The Luna asked that you come to the hall,” Sarah, the maid, had delivered her message. She didn't do that alone. She gave me a heads-up.“Sorry to say, but I think you should be prepared. She's known for downgrading people in a muggy way,”“Thanks,” I appreciated her honesty and the courage to help me like this. It's barely twenty-four hours and she could say something like this to me?That's a good sign. And I love it.“Aren't you scared I might tell on you?” I pushed and she smiled.“Even if you do, I've done my part and it's left to you what you choose to do,”Her last word rang a bell. Mum always said something about you not holding back because of the fear of how people will receive your heart. And as she said, I stood here in total disgust at what was happening. But before Zoe could land her statement, Leo came

Zoe's POV The renewal of the vow ceremony went as smoothly as a well-oiled machine. No hiccups and I was glad.“Congratulations man,” I can't stop hearing that. Everyone congratulated Alex. What about me?It practically felt like he had tied the knot with himself and not me.“Congratulations on becoming a Luna,” finally someone recognized me the moment we stepped into the midst of our high-repute guests. This hall has been specially prepared for Alphas and men of caliber to dine and wine with us.I sat with pride in the midst of them all. Did they recognize me as a Luna? That's terrific and the feeling I have within is princely.“This is a delicious meal. I won't forget this taste in a very long time-” Everyone chuckled at his comment.“You have spoken well. I must say this is one of the best meals I've ever had -” another guest asserted and they all nodded with smiles on their faces. But I couldn't help but notice a poised and stoic face. Extremely spotless and handsome. It was smoo

Derek's POV “Where in the heavens has he disappeared to?” His disappearance into thin air turned me into a soliloquizer.“I can't believe this renewal of vow went without any drama,” a voice said behind me in a hushed tone.Argh… I can't imagine the level of stupidity or is it audacity some people possess.Just why would you bad-mouth someone at their own event? I decided not to be concerned.“And to think the whole drama was caused by her best friend- that's greatly hilarious,” came another comment in a whisper.“It was such a striking show when the revelation came out,” said the first lady.I could distinguish their voices now, the first lady has a thicker voice.“I was in pain and I'm still in pain because I didn't witness that show. I was out in the market running errands,”“Everyone was shocked. But nothing was as shocking as to how it ended. No one saw it coming,”She smacked her lips together and it irritated me to my bone marrow.“Her friend committed suicide right in front o

“Because I'm your mate,” he stated outrightly with arrogance. “Well, you can't say that to anyone's hearing here. So keep it low,” where did my courage stem from?I had no idea. Maybe it's just coming from the place of me not wanting him to blow my perfectly crafted and woven cover. It'll be too much of a show if words get out that I came as a married mate to a man and there's another man claiming to be my mate. That's going to be a disaster!A big scandal that could destroy all we are trying to build and work on.There's no way I'm letting that play out.“Okay… I shouldn't let them know. I get it,” he whispered in a hushed tone and I almost got fooled by his false level of understanding. His hands fashionably glided into the pockets of his pants. That motion allowed me to feast and feed my sight with his look.Unwillingly, my eyes darted to his solid black suit, tailored expertly. I give kudos to the designer. It was a perfect fit to his body like an expensive layer of second skin.

Liza's POV “You can't possibly be thinking of going there to be used by those scoundrels?” Chris asked the minute we got home.“Why not?” I chuckled with a petite grin“Liza! No… I'm not in support of that.? He asserted like an overprotective brother.I wish I could tell him I'm the senior here and should be the overprotective sibling.“What are you afraid of? You don't trust my culinary skills? I mean-” he bumped into my meandering words.“Stop it, Liza,” his voice was a bit calmer now.“You've always been a great cook. I'm sure they don't have half of your skills around here,” Nice, I thought. I was a good cook in my past life and now, a b**a** with a c**z* culinary skills.“Then, allow me to do this,” I pouted. That's supposed to serve as a bribe, you know.“You know those weird couples are just being demeaning, right?” He tried to convince me again.I took a seat on the couch and motioned for him to join me. “Sit with me,” I asked“Don't try to convince me, it won't work. If you

“How do you know these things?” He asked and now I wished I had let him go and wandered away when he wanted to.“I wonder how you don't know these things. You-” my words cut abruptly. As the sweet vanilla fragrance hovered over my sense of smell, I couldn't bring myself to finish my statement.Instinctively I turned to my right, in search of the one whose scent had sailed to my nostrils causing me a stir.“Is she here?” I asked without too much thought. I didn't know who I was asking.Or, I thought I was asking Derek. But unfortunately, he was too buried and carried away by the wedding procession, he didn't get my question.Only one woman has that scent and I earnestly hoped she's the one.Wait… what would she be doing here? The last time I checked, she was in Glassland.Oriel had come with Sylvia after they went to Glassland, but she didn't show up with them.I guess she was avoiding me and it's okay. I'm going to be patient. But this isn't Glassland, this is Spring Pack. What could

Leo's POV “Where in the devil's name are you going?” I growled at Derek through the mind-linking.I couldn't believe he was about to jolt me and disappear into the thin air.“To allow you to enjoy the grande and extravagant celebrations. No?” He retorted with a question.“Don't you dare leave my side,” I replied. More like a command.I was very sure of the expression on his face. His eyes might have looked like they wanted to pop out of their sockets. And he must have also shaken his head in a tiring way. His hands gesturing - how did he know I was gone?“Leo, don't be this way. Go have fun, allow me to have fun too,” and yes, he must have had a smirk on his face making that statement.“It was your idea to be here in the first place, so let's get it done and go back home.” He should be ready to stick to my side like a barnacle sticks to a whale.“I'm certain there are seats for Alphas, and since they invited you? The Al-mighty Alpha Leonard,” a long drag on the last sentence “The o

  • Rebirth: Annabel's Revenge    CHAPTER 91 LEAVE NOW

Chris' POV I've heard how unqualified Alex and his wife were to be the leaders of this blessed Pack. But I built a wall of defense, ‘it couldn't be that bad.’ Maybe because I felt people would always have negative things to say about others, and leaders particularly. With all the good that Alpha Nicholas does, people still badmouth him. I've come to the conclusion people would always expect you to be bad, so even when you are good, the bad ones would have something negative to say about you.Yet, this public display of emotional tardiness just assented to all that's been said about them.Disrespectful? Arrogant? Uncooked? Uncultured? Conceited? Disdainful? All these and more mirrored this couple.“We would be glad to have her join us in the kitchen for the preparation. That way, she'd teach us one or two things that'll make our meal more palatable.”The moment Zoe spewed that smelly, stinky, disgusting, and foul suggestion from her mouth? I felt the urge to put an end to such a malo
