Odessa walked out of her room dressed in a beautiful black off-shoulder dress, which was made with an expensive-looking and stretchy material that glued to her curves and stopped just on her knees.

The dress hugged her figure elegantly, enhancing her silhouette.

Odessa walked down the stairs, watching the maids as they carried her bags down with them. Alpha Devon, Beta Elias, Lucas, and Emma were standing at the end of the stairs waiting for her to come down.

Emma had an expression of jealousy she didn't fail to show as she folded her arms across her chest, looking up at her stepsister as she went down the stairs.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Elias asked her as she got before them. “It isn't too late to say you don't want to and just let Emma go for it.”

“It's fine, Beta Elias. I'm sure she can take care of it. If it's just after a year or two, after giving him an heir, she could demand to leave and come back here. Right, Odessa?” Alpha Devon asked, and Odessa nodded gently with a smile.

“Good. I'm putting my trust in you. You are the only reason the two packs would be at peace.”

“I understand, my Alpha,” Odessa said to him with a smile.

The truth was she wasn't sure about this decision, but she had to do it anyway.

If she did leave, she wasn't sure about what would happen next if she stayed here any longer with Lucas, obviously mad at her for rejecting him and at the same time exposing his relationship with Emma.

Which they were able to keep a secret even three years after she realized he was her mate.

“Once you accept to be in his pack, you will cut pack ties with us,” Alpha Devon explained.

“And it might be a very painful experience because you were born here. But be careful. Just do what he says to avoid being shown his wrath.”

Odessa nodded gently before looking at her father and Emma with a small smile.

Just then, a man walked into the waiting hall. Odessa turned to look at him, and he was tall and handsome with his long black hair, and simply from his dressing she could tell he was high-ranked, but he wasn't an Alpha.

And her one guess was Alpha Desmond's Beta.

“Beta George,” Alpha Devon called, confirming her suspicion. “Welcome to our pack. I hope your stay here has been pleasant.”

“Thank you very much for your hospitality, Alpha Devon,” George said before turning to look at Odessa, who was staring at him with an unreadable expression, which made him bow to greet her.

“Lady Odessa.”

“Good morning,” she replied with a small smile before walking elegantly towards him.

“I'll be driving you to the pack,” he informed her, showing her the way out, and she just walked past him, heading towards the car opened for her by one of the guards stationed outside, getting into the car.

George got into the driver's seat.

Elias walked over to the window, looking at Odessa with a sad look.

“Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything, okay?” he said.

She nodded gently before bowing to Alpha Devon one last time, and her gaze went over to Lucas, who was glaring at her just like Emma was doing, like they would bore holes into her, but she just ignored them.

“Are you ready to leave, miss?” George asked, and she hummed as he drove out of the compound.

She wasn't really sure when next she would be back in this pack, but she hoped it wasn't anytime soon. She was using this opportunity to gain ground somewhere and have people who would answer to her.

“Yes, we can proceed,” she replied to him calmly.

While on the inside, she was internally screaming.

“The change of scenery would be nice. We never left this pack throughout our past life because of Lucas, so this should be a great start,” Odessa looked out the window, her chin resting on her knuckles.

She watched as the trees started moving fast following how fast George was driving.

She was lost in thought, lost in her own world as he drove on. She didn't know what was waiting for her in the pack she was going to, but she knew she had to mentally prepare herself for it in case she hadn't done that enough overnight.

As the car drove out of the pack, heading into Blood Moon, the clouds started to turn dark, indicating it was going to rain.

It hadn't been the perfect day for the sun in the first place, but she knew Blood Moon Pack wasn't the pack of constant sun.

It was always cloudy and dark, or it was always rainy and cold, and everyone in the pack was used to it.

As they headed into the pack after three hours of driving, it gradually started to rain.

The rain didn't become heavy. It just rained gently and slowly.

Soon, she started seeing houses coming into sight and people walking around with raincoats and umbrellas.

“I hope you packed your bags because we weren't expecting this at all. I never expected it to be this bad,” Aria said calmly as they looked out the window.

The streets looked peaceful, and people just walked around in the same dress code.

“I'm sorry if we didn't tell you about our weather beforehand. The pack house is a lot warmer, so you should be comfortable there,” George said as he noticed her expression from the driver's seat.

“Or the maids will get you a new set of clothes.”

“No problem,” she said calmly, leaning back into the seat.

As she turned back to the book with her, George still slowly watched her, trying to discern if she was fit to be Desmond's woman.

There had been a lot of women who had tried but failed in under a few days.

Desmond's temper was one none of those ladies could measure up to, and it made them all cower and fear running from him.

Most of those women didn't even get to experience him near his worst.

He wasn't the ruthless Alpha because he wanted to.

He was because there was something that made him that way.

As the car drove into the pack house, everyone loomed towards it.

The car soon came to a halt in the large compound.

The door was slowly pulled open, and Odessa stepped out of the car, an umbrella instantly shielding her from the rain.

Looking at the large palace-like building in front of her stunned her.

She hadn't seen a place this beautiful in her entire life.

And it was painted in white with red designs all over. The two large doors, which were at the main entrance, were red like rubies.

And they were open to allow free entry into the pack house.

“Wow, this is beautiful,” she whispered to herself as she walked towards the entrance, looking around where some people were.

Most of them were going in and out of the pack house.

Some of them were looking at her, wondering who she was for the Beta himself to bring her over to the pack house since he was always busy with one thing or another.

“Well, it's much better than the pack house back home. This looks cozy except for the bloody vibes it gives,” Aria commented.

“Come on. It's the Blood Moon Pack. But I doubt there will be any moon here at all,” Odessa said to Aria.

As they headed up the stairs from the roof, someone was standing under the rain, looking down at the lady who had just walked into the pack house.

“They are finally here.”

“I know. Let's see how long she will last before leaving like the rest.”

His voice came out laced with dominance and another unexpressed emotion.

“You can't say till you see who it is this time around,” his wolf replied with a not-so-interested tone.

“Like I said, Des, they are all the same. Once she sees the real me, she will disappears. She won't be better than the rest.”

“I want to have breakfast with everyone in the pack house.” Odessa said to George as she walked into the elevator with a bright smile. It had been a week since she got married to Desmond. And she had been the happiest she had ever been in her present and past life combined. “Are you sure, my Luna? You can just have breakfast on your floor since my Alpha is at the border.” “It'll be nice to see you eating with them after all these days,” George said. But she only ignored him and headed towards the main dining hall, which was already teeming with people. As everyone saw her, most of them bowed, and the others ignored her like they didn't even notice her presence, whereas they did. Odessa wasn't expecting such cold treatment. But she wasn't really shocked because she knew most women wouldn't like her for being Luna. “Would you like to ret

There was silence between the two as Odessa wiped off the wounds on his hands. It was like he got into a battle with some animals, and he wasn't healing on time. She quietly cleaned them, expecting him to tell her where he got the wounds from, but they both kept mute. “So you won't tell me what caused these bruises and wounds?” She said to him, making him look at her. But he buried his head, looking down at the floor. “Desmond,” she called, and he slowly looked up at her. “Answer me, will you?” “You'll just leave like the rest of them if I tell you.” He replied calmly, and at the same time, anger hinted in his tone. “They haven't even learned who I am, and they all ran from me. How am I sure you won't do the same when you find out?” “Who's telling you that nonsense?” She looked at him with a raised brow and a frown. “Do I look like someone who will judge you for anything?” “But you do look like someone who can beat me up for anything.” He mumbled, and for the first time

  • Reborn Luna:Her Second Chance Mate    Chapter 9

After the stressful day at the wedding hall, Odessa was finally able to go back to the room. Desmond was still down, talking to some people. And he had asked her to go take some rest if she wanted to. Odessa was stunned to see the two beds in the room gone and now replaced by a king-sized bed, which looked like it had just been neatly set. “Looks like you've really found your way deep into his heart for him to pick up you two sleeping together after marriage and not apart,” Aria chuckled teasingly. “Every husband and wife sleeps in the same bed. He'll be really dumb not to let that happen.” Odessa rolled her eyes as she headed into the bathroom, pulling off her clothes as she could. “Says the one who just enjoyed his kiss and couldn't deny it.” Aria teased again, and Odessa just let out a sigh of defeat. This would never be the end of the discussion of that kiss. “Okay, that's enough, Aria. It's embarrassing enough.” As she stepped out of the bathroom after cleaning up, sh

  • Reborn Luna:Her Second Chance Mate    Chapter 8

Odessa stood in front of the large floor-to-ceiling mirror in the main living room on their floor, not believing the day they had picked for the wedding had arrived. She still thought this was all a sarcastic comment till she saw the guests start arriving since the previous day. “Is this tight enough, my lady?” the seamstress asked her. She was helping Odessa into her red dress, which was the tradition of the pack. Any woman who was to be married to her husband-to-be would wear the red dress. “Or do you want me to—” “I'm going to choke. Please loosen it a little,” Odessa said, her voice just above a whisper, and the seamstress immediately did as she was asked. “That's much better.” Odessa sighed before looking at her reflection in the mirror. The dress was adorned with thousands of crystals, and the dress was very light and fitted her shape perfectly. Her hair was up in a majestic bun with red crystals and jewels hung in her hair. She looked more elegant than she usually did

Odessa sat opposite Desmond at the dining table for breakfast. The only sounds that could be heard were the faint connection of their cutleries and plates. Besides that, there was nothing but silence in the room till Odessa spoke up. “Alpha Devon told me I'm only here to give you an heir.” As she said that, he paused. After a few seconds, he continued like he did not hear what she said, and it annoyed her, but she didn't say a word and just started eating again. “So what do you think about it?” He finally said, making her look up at him with a raised brow. “What do you think about having an heir for me?” “Well, I don't have any bad thoughts towards it.” She replied, sipping from her glass of juice, her gaze focused on him. “But what's in it for me?” Her question shocked him, and for the first time since she arrived, she saw him smirk. “What's in it for you? You're a pawn in Alpha Devon's game, so you're only here so he can get his rewards.” He pointed out, and that made h

A scream escaped her lips as she saw that, and the lights were immediately flicked on. Desmond was standing there at the kitchen island, staring at her with a raised brow. “What were you so scared about?” he asked her, looking down at her fingers, which were being twisted in front of her. “I'm sorry. I was scared.” She let out a sigh of relief before looking around the kitchen, which looked beautiful. The kitchen island was in the middle of the room, a part of the wall glass from wall to ceiling, overlooking the forest behind the pack house. Although it was still raining outside, the outside was brightly lit with lamps all around. “If you're hungry, you can just make yourself something to eat.” He was oddly calm from the rumors she had heard about him. She stared right at him and didn't move from the spot she was, and this made him look in her direction again. “I would kill you on the spot if I wanted to kill you without you knowing, but it'll only be useless to me,” he said.
