Kira's POV

Excitement coursed through my body as I got ready to head out with Carl. I feel brilliant to have been able to dismiss Leila so easily. I know she isn't asking about my movement because she wants to see me. It's all a front for her to visit Declan without getting caught.

I would have been concerned at one time, but now I care nothing about those two. What matters is ruining every plan they might have against me. My phone dinged, and it was Carl; saying he was in front of the pack house.

Carl had refused to tell everything he got to know from Ariana to Xander. Claiming he doesn't like Xander guts. I forgot to tell him Xander doesn't fancy his either. Both men stress me a bit too much with the jealousy brewing between them.
