Stretching out his leg on the couch while throwing his head to the back. Declan tossed the beer bottle in his hand back and forth. He couldn't bring himself to stop thinking about what had happened on his hospital visit to Leila. First it was him discovering Leila has a hidden stepbrother and there is Kira who ran off that day and still hasn't called him.

Declan would have expected her to send him an apology on why she got out of the car and left, but Kira did no such thing. And it had him really bothered that she might be seeing someone else or caught a whiff of their plans. He poured the bottle content in his mouth, shutting his eyes tightly as it trailed down his throat.

Getting down the stairs, Elizabeth noticed Declan haphazard posture on the couch, looking like he had heard the worst news of his life. She moved closer to him, slapping his legs hard.
