I was still on the floor when a knock came on the door. I wasn't ready to let anyone in, but Giselle kept threatening not to stop until I let her in.

I cleaned up the already-dry tears that were on my face and dusted my dress before going to open the door.

"What exactly do you want to do?"

I asked and returned to the position I was in before she knocked.

"I can't possibly put my position as a guardian on the line for a human who'll fall in love with someone else someday."
