Chapter 25

Jaden's pov

When I was done wallowing in the awe of my new-found abilities, my senses returned, and I bolted.

It was impossible to run when I got to the hallway; the place was crowded with people dressed in plaid attire like they were from ancient England.

It was a good thing no one knew what I looked like because it made it easy for me to glide through the crowd.

I was sweating profusely, my hair was damp, and my underarms felt terrible. I wondered carefully for hours, trying to find an escape route, but for some reason I ended up going back to the place I started from.

The prison.

"Let's go see how our young prince is doing."

I heard that awful, familiar voice giggle, and that was when I cornered into a room. I had to find a means of escape, and fast, because it was obviously a matter of minutes before they found out.

Immediately, I noticed a bright, blinding light from behind me and shielded my eyes as I turned to look at it.
