What the hell was she saying?

What?!

What the hell was she saying?!

Was she writing a script and performing it for herself now?

Shameless!

"Even if you wanted to make him stop thinking about the past and reconsider the divorce, you should think about the Nichols family's reputation... and your own happiness. You should just divorce Theodore, sister. Don't suffer alone-I can't bear to see you like this."

Savannah had to have won several awards for this level of fake acting.

Did she really not feel any shame reciting such a completely fabricated monologue?

Sigourney had yet to arrange her words to counter Savannah's strikingly dramatic statement when suddenly a deep, hoarse voice, laced with an ominous chill, cut through the air:

"What did you just say?"

Theodore had barely been granted a moment of joy by Sigourney, only to have her cruelly shatter it, tearing down his last shred of hope.

Her strange behaviour all day-it was all just a distraction, just a ploy to keep him from uncovering the "wonderful" thing she had done.

Sigourney... Well played!

His foot left the last step of the staircase, and silence instantly engulfed the room. Not a single sound could be heard. Sigourney, meanwhile, stood frozen like a statue.

Only now did she realize that Savannah's little performance had not been meant for her alone. That woman must have known all along that Theodore was there, which was why she had been chattering so loudly.

But that wasn't the real issue.

The real crisis now was-how was she supposed to face Theodore? They had just started getting closer, and now it had come to this.

Before her stood Theodore-dark, menacing. A chill ran down her spine, yet sweat beaded and trickled down her forehead.

The icy man before her was brimming with a blazing fury as he stormed toward her.

At this moment, he looked as though he was ready to kill.

Savannah smirked, reveling in Theodore's rising anger. He must have heard everything.

But... was he wearing a bathrobe? Oh my God!

Savannah stared at him with barely concealed hunger, practically drooling, before putting on an innocent act.

"Theodore, don't mind what I just said, I was just-"

"Shut up!"

"Don't blame my sister. It's just that... she doesn't love you, so she-"

Savannah went on, completely absorbed in her act, unaware that Theodore was burning with fury. His eyes blazed with rage, his jaw clenched tightly, and his voice turned ice-cold.

"I told you once already-are you deaf? Shut your mouth."

His words cut through the air like a blade as he stepped closer to Sigourney, casting Savannah a deadly glare.

"Get out of Twilight Manor. Right now. Or don't blame me for being cruel."

Savannah, though unwilling to leave, had no choice. She'd intended to argue, but one look at Theodore's eyes silenced her completely. Flustered, she hurried out, almost tripping, and stammered a farewell to Sigourney.

At last, the room returned to its uneasy quiet. But the aura of icy dominance that clung to Theodore still had the servants trembling.

He locked eyes with Sigourney, his gaze intense, struggling to keep his composure. He knew this wasn't the place to argue. Without a word, he grabbed her hand tightly and pulled her upstairs.

"Follow me."

Sigourney didn't dare resist. She obediently followed, but his grip-fueled by anger-was far too tight, leaving her wrist flushed and red. She let out a soft whimper of pain.

That faint sound stopped Theodore in his tracks. He frowned deeply and glanced back at her. Her eyes, shimmering with unshed tears, were wide and sorrowful.

He loosened his hold slightly, just as Sigourney looked up at him and spoke in a small, trembling voice.

"You're holding too tight... it hurts," Sigourney whispered.

Theodore frowned, clearly irritated.

"You're always so troublesome," he muttered under his breath. Still, despite the complaint, he eased his grip, making sure to pull her along without hurting her further.

The two ascended the stairs in silence. When they reached the upper floor, Theodore dragged her into his study and shut the door behind them.

His eyes locked onto hers, blazing with anger and pain as he asked, voice trembling,

"What Savannah said earlier... was it all true? Do you really hate me that much?"

Sigourney looked up at him. He stood tall, as always, but something about him now seemed broken. His brows were furrowed tightly, and there was exhaustion in his eyes-an unspeakable weight pressing down on him. Emotions flickered across his face, too complex to put into words.

"I..."

She knew all too well that if she didn't explain now, Theodore's trust would collapse completely-and once broken, it might never be restored. But the words-she didn't know where to begin. Everything inside her felt tangled.

Sigourney hesitated.

Then Theodore spoke again, softer this time, almost pleading.

"Sigourney... is it true? Did you really drug my drink and spend the night with another man? Just answer me that."

His voice was low, raw.

Sigourney shook her head repeatedly, desperation in her voice as she tried to explain.

"No, Theodore. Please, trust me-I didn't sleep with anyone else. I swear. I don't know how to make you believe me, but that night... I was drugged-without knowing it."

Her voice trembled as she began to recount everything that had happened that night.

She explained, her voice trembling, how helpless she had been-how she'd been shoved into a room with a strange man and had to muster every ounce of strength to escape before the situation spiraled beyond control. Just the memory of it made her shoulders tremble.

Her voice cracked with emotion.

"Please, Theodore... If you can't trust me, then let Sutton Mark investigate. I want to know the truth too-who it was that harmed me."

Though Sigourney already had her suspicions after being reborn, she knew that ultimately, evidence was what she needed. Letting Sutton Mark conduct a full investigation could restore Theodore's trust, and more importantly, it would bring Savannah's schemes into the light, leaving her with no room to deny anything. When that happened, cutting ties with Savannah would be far easier, and Sigourney would make sure she paid the price-tenfold.

She continued to spit out insults in all kinds of unpleasant language, leaving both Sigourney and Hilary stunned. The sales assistant's expression also became awkward and tense."I'm very sorry, miss, but that's our store policy.""This customer arrived first and had already indicated she wanted the bag. Perhaps... perhaps you could try discussing it with her?"The assistant, caught in the middle, offered the suggestion timidly. It was only then that the girl bothered to glance at Sigourney. One look and she immediately sneered with open contempt."Ugh. Who even is this? Some shabby little nobody trying to fight me for a bag?"She didn't hesitate to speak, even sizing up Sigourney's outfit with a mocking sneer."Wearing a dress from a luxury brand, huh? Think wearing expensive clothes will magically make you rich?""Who knows which billionaire's sugar baby you are? I bet you don't even have enough money to buy anything here."At that moment, staying silent would've made Sigourney seem

  • Reborn for Revenge: My Husband Is Mine   I might soon be holding my first grandchild

You seem awfully cheerful this early in the morning."Tom gave a mysterious glance toward the dining room, then gestured for Park to come closer. Once the butler leaned in, Tom spoke in a low voice, just enough for the two of them to hear."I have a feeling... quite unintentionally, I might soon be holding my first grandchild.""Probably within a year, I'd say. Haha."Tom laughed heartily, clearly pleased with himself, leaving Park somewhat confused.Still, having worked in the Wang estate for many years, Park knew better than to pry or make wild assumptions. He simply smiled and offered his congratulations, then carefully set the teapot down and poured a cup for Tom....Even when they left the Wang estate,Sigourney and Theodore remained wordlessly in sync-but in silence, not the warm harmony of the previous day.
