RYDER’S POV

“What are you doing? Hand over the phone to him.” I ordered.

She bit her lip anxiously and held on to the phone tighter.

Jackson inched closer to take it, but she quickly shifted back again.

I sighed heavily, her antics pushing me to my limit. I moved closer to her to grab the phone, but she ran.

“What do you think you are doing?!” I growled angrily.

“I am sorry…” she cried. “Actually, I do not want anyone to see my chats with my boyfriend. Especially not a man. Can the Luna check it instead?”

I was taken aback by her reason. “That is why you are running?” I asked, eyebrows arched.

“Yes,” she cleaned her tears. “There are private things in there. I would die of embarrassment if someone else saw it, especially a man.” She replied.

I moved away and, with my hand, gestured for Adira to take care of this. For the first time since this whole issue started, Adira broke a small smile. She stretched her hand to the girl, and she handed over the phone.
