22. Complications

I watched the door knowing my mom would soon be running out. What surprised me was that she ran right into my grandmother's arms. "I can't lose him Wilamina." "I know darling."

I stood there watching my mom break down and felt my heart clench. I have only really seen my mom like this once before and it was the day that letter came in the mail. Our lives have changed drastically.
