LOGINAfter three years of studying abroad, Malisha is now ready to come back home, and move on.
She is excited to be home fully. When she went back to her pack, she grinned imagining how excited they would be to see her. She had not told anyone she was coming simply because she was excited to see how they would react to her. She was sadly coming to the pack single. She had dated, but obviously it had not stuck. Maybe, it was because she was still holding out on hope for a second chance mate which is exactly why she found it hard to do things the human way. She had also dated a wizard, but things had not worked out too. Still, a lot of the issues would have been from her end seeing as she is still delusional. What she really needs, is some quality family time, and she will be able to finally find a partner when she finds who she loves. Right now, she has not found the one. Her wolf was always holding on to hope that their former mate will accept them back again as if she was ever going to accept that. Knowing Grayson, he probably did not give a damn. After the rejection, her brother and Grayson did not remain as friends. It was expected to be honest. There was no way he was going to. The lycan king himself had to meet her mother, to request she remove the spell she had put on Grayson. It was comical that he had to speak, and basically apologize on behalf of his own son. There was also a big feud between their pack and the lycans, but there is no way they would bring on a war because it was their own son, Grayson that was in the wrong. Another reason was fighting against Treasure Coast pack was fighting against the witches too, and no one wants to do that. Malisha shakes off the thoughts of the negatives from her mind. She was going home with a smile on her face. She was fine. Whatever happened was three years ago, and there is no way she is going to let that dictate her life forever. She uses her magic to conceal her arrival in the pack’s borders. She drives straight to her home, and is already happy thinking about the joyous ways everyone will welcome her. She was also looking forward to seeing her brother’s first child. She enters her home, and horns loudly. Her parents are already in front as if trying to gauge who would horn loudly. “Malisha,” they both say with the widest grins on their faces. They rush to their daughter’s side, and her eyes well up with tears. She did miss her parents a lot. She should have stayed. She regrets leaving, even though leaving helped her deal with her problem without the constant side talk from her people. She wanted to forget and pretend she did not get rejected after she had lost her virginity, but she could not. “Why did you not tell us you were coming?” Her mother admonishes with tears in her eyes. “Are you not surprised to see me?” Malisha asks her nother wiggling her eyebrows laughing. Her mother roll her eyes, and says, “You are a character.” Her siblings come with their mates, and she turns all her attention to the newest addition in their family who is behind Alima. She looks at her best friend, and hugs her. “Who is that I see?” Malisha asks wiggling her eyebrows. She goes to her nephew, and she grins at him with her purple eyes. She is filled with a twinge of sadness that she has not experienced this even though she thought she would. She is filled with regret that she missed his birth, and she opens her arms to him. His mother nudges him, and he hugs her hesitantly. Malisha’s eyes well up with tears, and she wills herself to hold it in because this is a good thing. She had to do what she had to. At least, she is here now. She is going to be present in her nephew’s life, and probably for more to come. She turns to look at her younger sister with her new mate who is a wizard, much to her mother’s delight. He goes to her, and Malisha grins. “Welcome to the family.” He grins, and replies, “Welcome back.” She gives him a side hug, and she is happy for her family, but she is sad for her. She puts on the widest smile on her face hoping she is as convincing as she feels. “Where are our grandparents?” She asks with question. “Traveling around the world,” her father replies. Her grandparents although against her parents union in the beginning, always travel together as much as they can. It is hilarious trying to imagine a time when they were not on good terms. When everyone leaves Malisha to relax, she heaves a sigh of relief. She did miss her family, but the fact that everyone around her were in pairs made it difficult for her to act as if she is not bothered by her single life. She kept on thinking about her next plan of action, and hoped she could handle the scrutiny that will surely come with her arrival. At least now, it is time for her to get her grafting on, and finally find a match with someone. Her wolf seems oddly quiet, but there is nothing she can do so, she decides to rest a bit before meeting everyone in the pack. By now, everyone already knew she was back, but would give her just today to rest. By tomorrow, they will all be coming to see her. She was sure her parents were also planning a party, but was not going to dwell on that even though she hoped there was no party. She knew it was wishful thinking. Nothing was going to stop her parents from throwing a party this week. The prodigal daughter is finally home. She falls asleep while she is lost in thought. *The Next Day* Malisha was not surprised one bit that she had smiled and hugged over twenty pack members. She grinned at her people. Regardless of how exhausted she felt, she missed them. She trains some of the pups, and leaves to go home after one class. “There is no way we are going to the Lycans palace,” she hears her mother angrily say. “Do you think I want to be there?” Her father asks quietly remembering the rejection his daughter faced due to the lycan prince. “You know this is a meeting we can not miss. We have been awol for most of the pack meetings for three years now. This particular one is about the rise of whatever has been trying to cause deaths for our people,” her father says. Malisha’s eyes widen immediately. Causing deaths? “What is going on?” She wonders. “I am well aware that there are things going on behind us, but I see no reason why we have to go there. This pack is not just like the regular packs. There is a reason we are as strong as we are.” Malisha’s mother, Beatrix says to her husband. It is in fact not a lie. “You know we have to come together right low Bea,” her father says. “I do not want to go to the home of the pup who hurt our daughter, but I also am an alpha, and I have to ensure that my pack and family are safe even though it annoys me to be there.” Beatrix sighs angrily. “I understand, and as your Luna, I will go with you. I assume we still have to tell our son, right?” She says with an eyebrow raised. They turn, and see Malisha looking at them. “You heard everything,” her parents say already knowing. Malisha nods. “I am not against you both going over to the lycans mum and dad. If anything, I am against the fact that our pack has been absent in previous meetings for reasons that the lycan family did not cause,” Malisha says. “It was their son who caused it,” her father says with anger. “Exactly. Anyway, this is for the pack. We have to do what is best for our family to ensure we all survive.” Her parents snile at her. “That being said, what has been going on behind the scene?” Malisha asks. Her parents look at each other, and decide to tell her. “There has been some suspicious death and activities,” her mother tells her. They go into details, and Malisha’s eyes widen. “Why am I just hearing about this?” She asks. “You needed to be away for a little bit baby. There is no way we were going to take that away from you. Plus we can handle it,” her father says. Malisha’s heart tugs, and she feels horrible for not being present in the pack. “Do I have to go to the pack meeting with you all?” She asks. “No,” both of her parents say. She releases a sigh of relief, and says, “I can handle it if you want me to because I know it is my duty.” Even though she does not want to go, she believes she should be able to since it has been three years. “You do not have to worry about that sweetheart. You just came back home. The meeting will just be with the Alphas, betas and deltas. Your brother might even stay back because the pack needs protection.” Her father assured her. She nods, hugs her parents, and leave them to their conversation. Thank God she does not have to see Grayson anytime soon. There was no way she was willing to see him even after three years. It was still a difficult memory, but her mind could not help replaying the scene. Even though the bond was broken, seeing him will bring back hurt that she had buried deep within her. There is no way she was willing to that so soon. Although there would be no attraction, there was definitely going to be embarrassment, and she was sure that lots of people knew of the fact that she is the alpha’s daughter who got rejected by the lycan prince. There was nothing worse than that, plus what if he had married the perosn he rejected her for. When she left, she saw pictures of he and someone else. There was no way she was going back there just when she was elated. The main thing that bothered her though was what was going on behind the scene that made everyone be in danger?Dawn comes quietly and quickly. The sky is barely light when Malisha steps into the training field. The air is crisp, cool enough to bite at her lungs when she inhales. The grass is still damp with morning dew, which darkens the edges of her boots. She did not sleep much, but it was not because she was uneasy or bothered. She just feels settled. No more empty feelings. No more stressful thinking. Even the thoughts on all that was going on still did not make her lose sleep. The talk she had with her siblings made her feel lighter than she had in weeks, and she could not thank them enough. Sage is already there when she comes. Of course he is. It was as though he was always counting towards the time he could meet her. He stands in the center of the field, stretching his shoulders slowly, back to her. He senses her approacg and before she reaches him, he says, "You are on time." Malisha rolls her eyes. Of course he was going to talk on her time. "I am always on time."He glances
The house always sounds different at night. It is quieter and calmer. It feels like the calm before the storm. The footsteps, voices, doors opening and closing are reduced. Trainings have all ended. At night, it listens. Malisha lays on her back staring at the ceiling watching the shadows shift faintly as the moonlight filters through the curtains. Sleep does not come. A lot on her mind, but fear is not one of them. John's words don't even ring at the moment. It is the stillness. When she moves, things made sense. When she trains, she could drown it out. But now? Her mind replays every single thing. Grayson. Sage. The Bond. The Bridge. The Alignment. The Choice. The Savages. Everything. She turns to her side, pressing her face into the pillow as if she could smother the thoughts. It does not work. Her wolf stirs between her skin. Restless. Not agressive. Just aware. Her wolf feels it too. "Enough," Malisha mutters to herself. If she stays in the room any longe
After everything that John said, Malisha and Grayson are deep in thought. After his collapse, Beatrix had done the spell to ensure that John will not hear the voices for a while. She could tell how much it bothered him, and it bothered her too, but his words, his words... bothered her the most. She could not deny just how troubled she is, and she thinks about what to tell David, her mate, and the father of her children. The more they soought more history or intel abou the savages, the more she hated it. Yes, it was needed for the betterment of everyone, but it was also something that made her lay on her bed worrying about her first daughter. Grayson on the other hand sees the look on Malisha's face. She has a set look of determination, and she looks as though she wants to fight.Malisha does not stop walking. Not when Leo calls her name. Not when Grayson's presence still lingers like unfinished words in the hallway. Right now, she needs motion. She needs impact. She needs somet
Malisha wakes up the next day with a wide grin on her face. She is completely fine, and she can finally do whatever she wants to without being under too much scrutinization. Her mother already planned to talk to John today. Her father would not be there for the questioning which was a wonderful thing seeing Leo was already there. Having both her father and Leo would probably make John want to piss his pants. Malisha had also not seen Grayson since the day she had told both he and Sage to leave. In her defense, if she had not done what she did, she would have screamed or had to separate a fight, and she did not the strength for that. The testosterone in the room was too much for her to even get better. They kept on looking at each other in a way that told her it was only a matter of time before they would square up so, she had chased them so if they wanted to fight, they could do that outside her room. She sees Leo, her mother and Grayson. Grayson immediately smiles at her. "You lo
The moment Grayson is home, he sees his mother, and says, "I know you are pissed about the way I left, but I had to."His mother shakes her head. "I am not pissed," she replies. Grayson's mouth drops in shock and he can't even disguise it. His mother smiles, and asks, "How is she?" Grayson's eyes widen and he is shocked she does not chastise him for the way he left the meeting. "She is better," he replies. "How did you know?" "You left like you were on fire so immediately after the meeting, I phoned Beatrix to ask about how she is doing," his mother replies. Grayson nods and gives his mother a small smile. "I was expecting some chastising to be honest." His mother gives him a small smile. "Well, I have come to understand my son so, why will I do that?" "Thanks, mum." "Don't thank me. Forgive me for my interference. I thought I was doing you right, but I wasn't," she says. Grayson's eyes widen in shock. He hugs his mother, and says, "I do forgive you, mum. I know it was coming
The next day, Malisha wakes up with a splitting headache. She attempts to stand up, but groans instead. "What the hell is wrong with me?" she mutters to herself. She attempts to stand up again, but she groans again. Instead of calling someone through the mind link, she decides to wallow in pain.Had overworked herself? It is true she has been tired and stressed for a while especially with the savages and training, but she had no idea this would be happening to her. "You do know you have to call someone at the end of the day, right?" Belle, her wolf says. "No. I will be fine. Give me sometime to get myself. If I sleep for an extra hour, I should be find," Malisha replies. "You and I know that is false. You are exhausted, and rightfully so. I am surprised you have not fallen sick in a while," Belle says. "I see no reason why you will be surprised by that when I hardly ever get sick," Malisha mutters then blocks her wolf to get a break. She goes back to sleep almost immediately.
