Olivia’s POV

Simeon held my waist as he led me down the corridor into our room. I needed to rest, and I wasn’t that good with people. The moment I told that to Simeon, he announced that the pack members could enjoy the party, but we were retiring for the night.

When he took my hand and led me back into the pack house, my heart skipped beats multiple times, but now that we were heading to his room. I could feel the tornado in my chest.

A guard opened the door for us, I paused by the door and Simeon halted behind me. We locked eyes for a while, I guess he could see my hesitation. “Leave,” he instructed the guard, who took a bow and left.

“Olivia, what is it?”

I bit my bottom lip as I looked down. He took my hands and I flinched. “You’re–” he paused, and licked his lips. Then he raised his hand up. “We are only sharing this room so that we wouldn’t draw too much attention, to them we are the best couple. But you and I know what we truly are.”

What are we? I thought. I don’t think I knew. Revenge buddies? Hero and damsel? Friends?

“I swear I want to, but I promise not to touch you. Except you want it,” he said as he stepped away from me.

My face burned in embarrassment at his words, I balled my sweating fist as I raised my gaze to him. He had a smirk on. I looked away and went inside the room, closing the door behind me.

“Hey,” I heard him call from outside. I giggled as I pressed my back against the wall. My teeth resting on my bottom lips.

His promise echoed in my mind. I was his mate and Luna, he had every right to do that, but he chose to wait till I want it?

Was he serious or was he pretending just to win my trust?

There’s no chance I’ll be comfortable with him soon, maybe when I eventually move on from Damien. Maybe when I stop thinking about Damien and his betrayal whenever Simeon touched me or came too close.

Simeon knocked on the door, pulling me from my train of thoughts. “Olivia, are you okay?”

I drew a deep breath. “Yes, I am.” the next moment I was running across the room to the bathroom.

By the time I came out, I saw pajamas placed on the bed for me. I grabbed it and went back into the bathroom to get dressed. I didn’t want to risk him walking in on me.

That night as I laid down to sleep the door opened slightly. Simeon’s huge frame appeared, blocking the light and his shadow casted on me.

“Olivia,” he slurred as he staggered inside.

My eyes went wide in shock as I grabbed the sheets. He was drunk. I shuddered where I laid as he walked to me. His alcohol reeking breath filled the room.

“Are you asleep, Olivia.” he climbed on the bed and fell just beside me. I flinched and my breath hitched. My eyes pressed shut.

My heart was thudding as many thoughts ran through my head. The one that bothered me the most was if he was going to forget his promise to me.

He touched my arm and I trembled, he pulled back his hand at once. “Olivia, you are so fragile. You are pretty too. I– you know. No. You are Luna. Luna Olivia.” he chuckled. “Sleep well, we have so much catching up to do.”

The bed dipped as he sat up and pulled the duvet over me. Then he faced the other side and slept, snoring lightly.

I gulped, still in disbelief of how the night turned out, even though he was drunk. Maybe I was wrong about Simeon. Maybe he deserved my trust. But still I couldn’t get a wink of sleep till the break of dawn. I wanted to be sure I was safe beside him.

*** *** ***

Seven Months later.

“Ughh. Simeon. Ughhh.” I groaned as I opened the room door and came out. My hand was on my waist and my legs were spread out as I struggled to walk. A kind of pain I had never felt shot through me. “Ughh. Simeon!!” I yelled out in pain.

I heard a sudden running footstep up the stairs, I didn’t need to turn to know that it was Simeon. He reached me and he took my hand off the wall and placed it across his shoulder.

“What is it? Are you in pain?” Simeon asked in worry.

I pulled my lips in as I nodded at him. “Ahh!!!” I groaned. Pressure pulled under my waist and my water broke.

“The baby is coming.” Simeon’s pitch was high, I couldn’t tell if it was from concern or excitement.

He stooped and picked me into his arms as he rushed down the stairs carrying me to the pack hospital.

We got there in a few minutes, the pain was so intense I lost consciousness. “Olivia, look at me. Olivia!! God damn it.”

“Doctor, the baby is coming.” I heard Simeon’s voice before I drifted into darkness.

By the time I blinked open my eyes, it was morning. Simeon had his head resting on the bed beside me. “Simeon.” my voice was weak. I felt numb, I think that must be anesthesia.

He raised his head, saw he was awake and he jolted up his feet. “Olivia. You did it. You gave us a bouncy male pup.” He took my hand and kissed it.

I looked across the room and I saw my pup on a small cradle, he was sleeping soundly. Tears rolled down the corner of my eyes. He was beautiful. “Jeremy.” I uttered.

“Thank you for being strong for Jeremy. You’ll be an amazing mum.”

Six years passed, Jeremy was a smart kid. Whenever he went to school, I would spend my day training. Simeon had insisted that I must build my stamina, stature and gait. Four years of consistent training and tests and I changed.

“You think you can beat me?” I asked Simeon with a smirk.

“Leave talk, let’s fight.” He charged at me with his sword. I shifted to the side, dodging his strict as swift as the wind. I stepped on his foot, hitting off his sword at one. Then I jumped and kicked the back of his knee.

He knelt on the floor and I placed mine under his throat and he raised his hands in surrender. I scoffed. “This kept getting easier by the day.”

The pride, the satisfaction, the adrenaline rush. It all proved to me that I was no longer the weak omega. I was not a befitting Luna.

I stepped away from Simeon and dropped my sword and the next thing I saw was that he grabbed my arms and flipped my back. I hit my back on the ground, I was about to jump up, but he came on me, and placed a dagger to my neck, I froze.

“Never turn your back at your opponent,” he said, a smug smile playing on his lips.

Olivia’s POV“Are you okay?” Damien asked me as he wiped off the sweat on my forehead. I never knew I was sweating so badly. “Did he hurt you?”“I would never hurt her,” Austin cut in. I opened my eyes slowly and saw him looking at me. “You should be careful with her– Perhaps you are hurting her.”“What are you saying?” Damien growled at him, his brows crossed. His anger was evident as his hands tightened around me. “Why are you here with her in the first place?”The sound of Damien's voice had me thinking twice– if I should tell him all that Austin told me now, it would make him furious and he would rage out his anger on Austin. He might kill Austin tonight if I did that– it would mostly put him in trouble. The council would think that he killed Austin because of the Alpha position and that wasn’t true. I knew my Damien– his temper could cause havoc.“I’m saying if you don’t take care of what you have, you’ll lose it,” Austin said with a grin. “Same way you are about to lose the pack

Olivia’s POVMy fists balled up as goosepumps popped all over me. I had gone frozen with fear, unable to turn back and see who was behind me. “Hey?” He called again and I flinched. The cold air whipped against my face, sending shivers down my spine. My gaze dropped, I saw the depth of the floor– If I fall from here I won’t make it. I pressed my eyes closed as I muttered a prayer, the next moment– I shot my eyes back open as I looked for what could break the fall. There were a few corridors, if I could hold on to any, I could sustain lesser injuries. I heard his footsteps behind me and then felt his hand on my shoulder and he pushed– what? No. He pulled me. Why was he pulling me back?I thought he would push me off the terrace. “What are you doing?” He asked as I landed on my butt and he held both my hands behind me, stopping me from moving. My brow raised as I wondered why his voice sounded so familiar. “Who are you and what do you want from me?” I asked, struggling to get free fr

Olivia's POVStaying back in the room in silence was killing me. I needed to know what to say. I gritted my teeth and pulled myself into a sitting position. The paste on my leg was dried up now, I touched it and it didn’t hurt.“That was fast,” I said and then I turned to see the mushroom soup. A small smile played on my lips. “I guess this is medicinal.”My muscles felt stiff as I walked into the bathroom. I took a quick shower and came out in my towel. Damien was gone, he was no longer in the corridor or even in the room to begin with. After throwing on my night-wear, I left the room and went straight to Jeremy’s. Hopefully I would find Damien there and ask him about that call.Jeremy was sleeping in his room, he was snoring lightly just like his father. “Daddy, hold me,” he said in his sleep. My heart ached. That was what he always told Simeon when he was younger. I sat on his bed slowly. “You’ll be fine, baby,” I ran my hand through his hair, softly and careful not to wake him.“

Damien's POV“What do you want from–” I paused and looked back to see Olivia staring at me through the glass window. She was looking at me, curious to know who it was that I was talking to. I turned away from her and lowered my voice. I couldn’t let her know that I was talking to Simeon. What did he even call me for in the first place? “Hello?” He said from the other end as I went mute. “Simeon, what are you calling me for?” I asked him in a lower voice. “I’ve got some news for you, Damien,” He replied. “Listen well.”Rage formed in my chest as the last word sounded like a command. “How dare you call my line?” I growled at him. “I don’t want to talk to you either, but I have to do that for the sake of my son, Jeremy.”I paused. Thoughts running through my mind in an instant. What about Jeremy? Was he in any sort of danger? I pulled the phone out of my ear and I looked at the unknown number Simeon called me with. Then I recalled what Simeon had called Jeremy– his son?How dare that

Olivia's POV“Liv?!!” Damien yelled out to me. His voice was an echo at the back of my head.I coughed, trying to lift my head off the floor, the smoke was choking me to death before the fire even came.My heart was heaving, thinking about the last time I touched my son, Jeremy. When last I spent a good time with my family– with Damien. A good time without all these enemies and chaos.I would have to manage whatever memory I had of them, till the end of time.“Liv?” Damien's voice drew closer but my eyes were already closing, only that I saw a hand grabbing fire only to get to me.“Oh my goodness– what happened to you?!!” Damien yelled as he cupped me off the ground. “What happened to you?!” He asked.I shook my head slowly, struggling to stay awake. Until it all went blank.I stirred awake, to the smell of mushroom soup. It wasn't my favorite and I cringed when I turned and saw it smoking on a saucer beside me.“You're awake,” Damien said and I turned to see his figure beside me– my

This was beginning to feel too real than it was.“Get out of here, Prinsca. You'll never get what you came for,” I backslashed at her.She grinned, a knowing look on her face as though she– had what she came for.“Won't I? She asked, her grin spreading. I swallowed as goosebumps filled my skin.Knowing Prinsca, she was not one to smile for nothing… I asked myself again. Was I being fooled, again? Was I even doing the right thing?Regardless, for the sake of her pup, I had to consider and carry on my act.“Never.” I spat.“Stop me, if you can,” she replied and stormed right past me, shoving me to the side with her shoulder, her other hand under her baby bump.“Where are you going…?” Before I could finish, she flung the do
