Olivia’s POV

Simeon held my waist as he led me down the corridor into our room. I needed to rest, and I wasn’t that good with people. The moment I told that to Simeon, he announced that the pack members could enjoy the party, but we were retiring for the night.

When he took my hand and led me back into the pack house, my heart skipped beats multiple times, but now that we were heading to his room. I could feel the tornado in my chest.

A guard opened the door for us, I paused by the door and Simeon halted behind me. We locked eyes for a while, I guess he could see my hesitation. “Leave,” he instructed the guard, who took a bow and left.

“Olivia, what is it?”

I bit my bottom lip as I looked down. He took my hands and I flinched. “You’re–” he paused, and licked his lips. Then he raised his hand up. “We are only sharing this room so that we wouldn’t draw too much attention, to them we are the best couple. But you and I know what we truly are.”

What are we? I thought. I don’t think I knew. Revenge buddies? Hero and damsel? Friends?

“I swear I want to, but I promise not to touch you. Except you want it,” he said as he stepped away from me.

My face burned in embarrassment at his words, I balled my sweating fist as I raised my gaze to him. He had a smirk on. I looked away and went inside the room, closing the door behind me.

“Hey,” I heard him call from outside. I giggled as I pressed my back against the wall. My teeth resting on my bottom lips.

His promise echoed in my mind. I was his mate and Luna, he had every right to do that, but he chose to wait till I want it?

Was he serious or was he pretending just to win my trust?

There’s no chance I’ll be comfortable with him soon, maybe when I eventually move on from Damien. Maybe when I stop thinking about Damien and his betrayal whenever Simeon touched me or came too close.

Simeon knocked on the door, pulling me from my train of thoughts. “Olivia, are you okay?”

I drew a deep breath. “Yes, I am.” the next moment I was running across the room to the bathroom.

By the time I came out, I saw pajamas placed on the bed for me. I grabbed it and went back into the bathroom to get dressed. I didn’t want to risk him walking in on me.

That night as I laid down to sleep the door opened slightly. Simeon’s huge frame appeared, blocking the light and his shadow casted on me.

“Olivia,” he slurred as he staggered inside.

My eyes went wide in shock as I grabbed the sheets. He was drunk. I shuddered where I laid as he walked to me. His alcohol reeking breath filled the room.

“Are you asleep, Olivia.” he climbed on the bed and fell just beside me. I flinched and my breath hitched. My eyes pressed shut.

My heart was thudding as many thoughts ran through my head. The one that bothered me the most was if he was going to forget his promise to me.

He touched my arm and I trembled, he pulled back his hand at once. “Olivia, you are so fragile. You are pretty too. I– you know. No. You are Luna. Luna Olivia.” he chuckled. “Sleep well, we have so much catching up to do.”

The bed dipped as he sat up and pulled the duvet over me. Then he faced the other side and slept, snoring lightly.

I gulped, still in disbelief of how the night turned out, even though he was drunk. Maybe I was wrong about Simeon. Maybe he deserved my trust. But still I couldn’t get a wink of sleep till the break of dawn. I wanted to be sure I was safe beside him.

*** *** ***

Seven Months later.

“Ughh. Simeon. Ughhh.” I groaned as I opened the room door and came out. My hand was on my waist and my legs were spread out as I struggled to walk. A kind of pain I had never felt shot through me. “Ughh. Simeon!!” I yelled out in pain.

I heard a sudden running footstep up the stairs, I didn’t need to turn to know that it was Simeon. He reached me and he took my hand off the wall and placed it across his shoulder.

“What is it? Are you in pain?” Simeon asked in worry.

I pulled my lips in as I nodded at him. “Ahh!!!” I groaned. Pressure pulled under my waist and my water broke.

“The baby is coming.” Simeon’s pitch was high, I couldn’t tell if it was from concern or excitement.

He stooped and picked me into his arms as he rushed down the stairs carrying me to the pack hospital.

We got there in a few minutes, the pain was so intense I lost consciousness. “Olivia, look at me. Olivia!! God damn it.”

“Doctor, the baby is coming.” I heard Simeon’s voice before I drifted into darkness.

By the time I blinked open my eyes, it was morning. Simeon had his head resting on the bed beside me. “Simeon.” my voice was weak. I felt numb, I think that must be anesthesia.

He raised his head, saw he was awake and he jolted up his feet. “Olivia. You did it. You gave us a bouncy male pup.” He took my hand and kissed it.

I looked across the room and I saw my pup on a small cradle, he was sleeping soundly. Tears rolled down the corner of my eyes. He was beautiful. “Jeremy.” I uttered.

“Thank you for being strong for Jeremy. You’ll be an amazing mum.”

Six years passed, Jeremy was a smart kid. Whenever he went to school, I would spend my day training. Simeon had insisted that I must build my stamina, stature and gait. Four years of consistent training and tests and I changed.

“You think you can beat me?” I asked Simeon with a smirk.

“Leave talk, let’s fight.” He charged at me with his sword. I shifted to the side, dodging his strict as swift as the wind. I stepped on his foot, hitting off his sword at one. Then I jumped and kicked the back of his knee.

He knelt on the floor and I placed mine under his throat and he raised his hands in surrender. I scoffed. “This kept getting easier by the day.”

The pride, the satisfaction, the adrenaline rush. It all proved to me that I was no longer the weak omega. I was not a befitting Luna.

I stepped away from Simeon and dropped my sword and the next thing I saw was that he grabbed my arms and flipped my back. I hit my back on the ground, I was about to jump up, but he came on me, and placed a dagger to my neck, I froze.

“Never turn your back at your opponent,” he said, a smug smile playing on his lips.

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 104

Olivia's POV I pulled the hem of my dress down and smoothed it over my thighs. The fabric clung to my skin as though trying to prove a point that I could not hide what I had just done, that I had started something that I could not end, that I was treading a dangerous path. My legs trembled a little from the action. It had been five years after all and honestly Damien had made my legs weak literally. However, I refused to let it show — I was not going to give Damien that pleasure. Damien was watching me, but I refused to meet his eyes. Instead I turned my attention to my hair, trying to get it to its former state before our rendezvous. That done, I adjusted the strap on my shoulder, not because it needed fixing, but because I needed something to do with my hands. He only watched me quietly as I fumbled with my clothes trying desperately to get rid of any indication of what had happened just now. “What does this make us?” he asked me in a voice that told me he was scared to even ask

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 103

Simeon's POVMy heart had to be on a marathon as it raced through the entire day. I could not focus at the Council meeting, my Beta was not with me, my Luna had gone off to a work that I was not sure she would return, everything was falling apart. I felt like I had pushed myself to the edge of a precipice and there was no one there to save me from falling.“The matter on ground is about your heir. What do you intend to do about your heir?” asked one of the councilmen, prompting me to come out of my reverie.“I have a son, his name is Jeremy,” I said, my voice reverberating round the room. I had had this conversation with my council several times and they were still adamant at the issue of my heir. I had told them time without number that I was not going to budge on this matter and that was not going to happen this time.I saw them look among themselves awkwardly.“In terms of biology, Jeremy…”“A lot of monarchs adopt children and it has never been a problem. Jeremy was not just adopt

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 102

Olivia’s POVI was going to repay Simeon in his own coin by sleeping with his worst adversary. He had done it to me and so I saw no reason why I should not pursue revenge this way. Besides, it would be like killing two birds with one stone. I had never gotten revenge on Brielle for taking Damien away from me and since the two were still together (as far as I knew), it was the perfect opportunity to get back at her for what she had done. I was going to sleep with Simeon and thus cheat on my husband and with that determination, I stepped out of the carriage. I saw Damien standing outside the carriage, he looked like he had been waiting for me. I flashed him a warm smile which I knew he found unusual by the expression on his face. “Damien, you look quite handsome this morning,” I said to him. When we had parted ways, I had not been speaking to him and here I was hoping to charm him with my smile. I understood how that could be confusing for him. “Uhm… I don't understand,” he said, h

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 101

Olivia's POV The ride to the war college was a quiet one. I saw the many questions written expressly on my son's face but he asked nothing, he knew the answers already and I knew that he feared that if I said them out loud it would make it all real. There was one thing however that I wanted to clarify, one thing that I needed to know. And that was if Jeremy had heard the part about his biological father. But I could not ask him directly, I had to find a way around it. “You keep looking at my wrist,” I said, I had been watching him throughout the ride so far and he had not taken his eyes off my wrist. I knew the question on his mind was if Simeon had really hurt me or if Simeon had been right and it had just been a mistake. “Are you in a lot of pain, mum?” he asked me, my heart broke at the pity he felt for me in his voice. “No, sweetheart, not at all,” I said with a smile that I hoped reached my eyes. “Did dad do it?” he asked quietly. I was at a crossroads. I could tell him th

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 100

Olivia's POV The morning was cool, the morning breeze bore none of the heat and anguish that burned within me. It had been three days since Prinsca's pregnancy revelation and in those three days I had barely eaten or slept. I had lost my appetite to live let alone eat. The only thing that kept me going was Jeremy. I turned away from the view and moved toward my dresser. My uniform hung neatly beside it, pressed and folded, ready for the day. Today I had a lecture on tactical misdirection, and I would be prepared. I had to take refuge in my work, I needed something to distract me from the knot in my chest. Behind me, Mirabel, my maid, moved with soft precision. She said nothing, only came forward with the deep navy dress I wore to teach. It was my favourite outfit for the war college, it made me look serious and that was how I wanted my students to view me. I slipped out of my robe and into the blue dress. There was a knock—no, not a knock. The door was opened without an invitation

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 99

Simeon's POV My mind was made up. I was going to lie my way out of this situation. I could never admit to sleeping with Prinsca even though we had been at it for five years.I called Olivia's name one more time but she wouldn't answer me, she would not do much as I look back. I understood that she was angry, the only thing left to do was to give her some time to herself. I needed to give her time to realise that her best shot was with me.She couldn't possibly go back to Damien after everything that he had done to her right?Only that I had done the exact same thing to her.But this was different, it had to be. Staying by her side all these years had to count for something.I ran a hand through my hair, pacing about the corridor. The wind was cold against my skin, reminding me that what I had done to Olivia had been heartless and I would never be able to forget it. I was also going to live the rest of my life in regret no matter the decision I made. I could still see the look in Oli
