    "What are you doing?" I ask Kelly who looks guiltily at me for a second before laughing."I'm practicing my shocked face when Tim proposes tonight." She says and I laugh. "Yeah. The face that you made when I asked that... That takes the cake." I grin as I look around the room. "Do you think she'll like it?" I hold up a doll that was placed in the cot."For the hundredth time.     Naomi and I have been sitting outside dad's hospital room as we wait for the doctor to examine for about five minutes in silence.     The ride to the mafia base took about thirty minutes. Within the thirty minutes that Naomi had told me about dad waking up and me promising to be there tomorrow.     Everything is moving fast. I had called Naomi on the way to the hospital who, luckily, has her own business closer to the hospital and so arrived about three minutes after I did. She walked to me and immediately hugged me, seeing how shaken I was before walking into the room my dad was in."...how long have you know about this?" The doctor asks just as we enter and I suddenly sense something big. I turn to my crying mother who spares us no glance as she looks at her unconscious husband."Five months. We were told an operation might risk everything and so he decided to rely on the painkillers." Mother explains. The hold Naomi has on me tightens as I look at mother questionably but as usual, she doesn't look at us. The doctor only lets out an exhale of air before looking at my father and examining him."We'll have to do an MRI so that we can be sure of what we're dealing with here." He explains but before anyone says anything else Naomi speaks up."

    The next morning, I woke up thirsty and hungry. I woke up in Aiden's arms as he slept peacefully. I turned to the clock on the bed side table and noticed it was nine a.m."Morning wifey."
