Chapter 20 - A Treat
Aian opened his eyes and squinted against the faint glow light from the bedside lamp.
At first, he was confused as to where he was and rubbed his eyes as he tried to focus his vision. With a furrowed eyebrows, he finally remembered what had happened.
By the darkness still spread outside of the glass balcony doors, it must have been still evening. Looks like he fell in to a nap. He groaned as he stretched.
He was in Kalvin’s room, in his penthouse.
“How are you feeling?”
He went still, and agonizingly slow, he turned and froze for a second, seeing his twin flame leaning by the door frame of the bedroom, his hands holding some documents.
The man grinned at him, and his blush was something he can’t stop even if he wanted to.
“I’m fine,” he muttered. It was the truth. He felt much more relaxed, no pain anywhere. His energy was high because of that power nap.

Aiangrinned. He had a different set of guards today, presumably something to do with the parkour course they were at earlier and they had been lost in a matter of minutes. To be fair, he had the added advantage of being able to slip through traffic on his scooter while knowing the streets around his apartment inside out. He had a sneaking suspicion that Kalvinmight use it as an excuse to make him more familiar with the feeling of being unable to move on his bed in his penthouse; it seemed exactly like something the older man would do.

By the time Aiandeemed it safe to head back to his scooter and head home, he only had time for a few hours’ sleep before he wanted to be up and off to the police station to see his contact.
