Freya's POV

Every woman wishes to be the energy in their lover's muscles. The man who can make them feel safe, protected, and loved without tripping or stumbling, but it hurts like hell to discover that you were his weakness, not his strength.

The fact that he sputtered the words showed how much he despised me for coming along and being a hindrance to his power and Might.

The words kept resonating in my ears, and the scene kept washing over me like a wave. I deduced from the expressions on his face, the sadness in his voice, and the disappointment that seemed to permeate him, as if I were something unwelcome that belonged in the trash…..I guessed.
