"What is the meaning of this, Vania? You've been married for three years, and you're still not pregnant?"

The sharp question flew from Aunt Rika's lips, her eyes brimming with accusation. The once-quiet dining room was now thick with tension. All eyes were on Vania, as if she were a criminal on trial.

Vania swallowed hard. Her fingers clutched the hem of her long skirt as she lowered her head, trying to contain the storm of shame and anger rising in her chest.

"I'm sorry, Aunt… maybe I've just been exhausted lately."

"Exhausted?" The cold, biting voice now came from her stepmother, Larissa. The woman crossed her arms with a raised brow. "Is the Montgomery family working you so hard your womb has gone on strike?"

Mocking laughter erupted from several relatives at the table. Vania clenched her hands tighter. Her eyes burned, but she refused to let the tears fall in front of them.

"Mother, I'm fine. Please don’t make this worse."

"You’re the one making it worse, Vania. You’re Devandra’s wife, the Montgomery heir’s wife. A good daughter-in-law knows her main duty is to produce an heir. Do you think we’ve let you sit around doing nothing for the past three years for fun?"

"Enough."

Devandra, who had been sitting silently at the end of the table, finally spoke. His voice was calm—too calm—but held no trace of defense for anyone.

Vania turned to him, hope flickering in her chest. But he simply sipped his coffee and said nothing more.

After the suffocating dinner ended, Vania followed Devandra to his study. She knocked softly on the door and entered when there was no response.

Devandra sat on the sofa, laptop open in front of him. He didn’t even glance her way as she walked in.

“Devandra,” Vania said gently. “Can we talk?”

“I’m busy,” he replied flatly, eyes still on his screen.

“Please… we need to talk about what happened just now.”

He finally closed the laptop and looked up, his face emotionless.

“What exactly do you want to talk about? Your family’s nagging at dinner?”

Vania bit her lip, struggling to keep her emotions in check. “I… I know it’s embarrassing, but… they’re right. We’ve been married for three years, and we still don’t have a child.”

Devandra scoffed. “So what? You came here to ask me to sleep with you?”

Vania nodded, though the shame crushed her. “Yes… if that’s what it takes to save this marriage, I’m willing.”

His cold laugh lashed at her like a whip. “You’re willing? Do you think I’m some toy you can pull into bed whenever you feel like it?”

“Please, Dev… we’re husband and wife…”

“Husband and wife?” Devandra stood and walked toward her, eyes mocking. “We’re married because of a business deal, Vania. You knew that from the beginning. I never promised you love—let alone a child.”

“But… I’m still your wife…”

“A wife on paper. And from now on, don’t come crying into my room like some desperate woman.”

“But—”

“If you want a child,” he said, voice low and cutting, “why don’t you just sleep with another man?”

Vania froze. Her eyes widened, her breath caught in her throat.

“You… what are you saying?!”

Devandra smirked coldly. “You heard what the family said earlier. They want an heir. If you’re feeling pressured, go find some man, get pregnant, and make everyone happy.”

Vania’s hand flew to his face, slapping him hard. But what hurt even more… was that he laughed.

“Go ahead, Vania. Maybe that’s the only way you’ll ever be useful in this family.”

Several months had passed since the storm of their lives had finally subsided, and the city felt different to Vania and Arga. The tall buildings still towered as before, the streets remained bustling, but for them, the world had found a calmer rhythm. On the balcony of Arga’s apartment that morning, they stood side by side, watching the sunrise reflect off the distant river. A gentle breeze carried the aroma of coffee from a nearby café.“This feels strange,” Vania said, taking a deep breath. “After everything… to be able to sit here, without fear, without the shadows of the past lurking.”Arga smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist. “I know. I feel it too. We’ve made it through everything—slander, threats, manipulation… and we’ve come out stronger.”Vania turned to him, her eyes glistening. “I never thought I could find this kind of peace. I… I feel free, Arga. Free from all the pressure.”“Freedom is worth fighting for,” Arga said softly. “And I’m grateful we faced it all togeth

The morning sun barely touched the city skyline when Vania awoke to the sound of her phone buzzing incessantly. Notifications flooded the screen—social media posts, news alerts, and messages from concerned colleagues.“Arga…” she whispered, her voice tight. “He’s… he’s started again.”Arga, already dressed, rushed to her side. “Show me.”Vania handed him the phone. Headlines screamed with manipulated photos, fabricated stories, and twisted rumors about their relationship and Arga’s company. It was Devandra’s first wave.Arga’s jaw clenched. “This ends today,” he muttered. He grabbed his coat and phone. “We’re not letting him get away with this.”---Across the city, Devandra watched the chaos unfold from his office. His face was a mask of satisfaction as he observed people questioning Arga and Vania’s credibility. But deep down, a flicker of unease appeared.“They still… stand together,” he murmured, staring at the footage of Vania giving an interview, her voice calm but resolute. “Ho

Devandra paced the floor of his penthouse, the city lights casting jagged shadows across his face. His phone vibrated relentlessly, notifications of social media mentions flashing across the screen. Each post, each tweet, each live coverage headline was a dagger aimed at his pride.“Arga and Vania… standing there like they own the world,” he muttered, teeth clenched. “How dare they—how dare they make me look weak?”One of his assistants, Raga, stepped in cautiously. “Boss… the press conference—it’s trending. People are praising them. The public… they’re on their side.”Devandra’s jaw tightened. He swung around, face twisted with rage. “On their side? No, no! They don’t understand! I can’t let this happen. Arga thinks he’s untouchable, but he doesn’t know what’s coming!”Raga swallowed nervously. “Sir, what do you want me to do? We can control the narrative again… push stories, rumors—”“Rumors? Rumors are weak!” Devandra snapped, slamming his fist on the table. “I need results. I need

The city skyline glimmered under the afternoon sun as Arga and Vania entered the glass-walled conference room. The tension was palpable, the air thick with anticipation. Today, they weren’t hiding. Today, they were taking a stand.“Are you sure about this?” Vania asked, her fingers gripping her notes tightly. She avoided Arga’s eyes for a moment, nerves prickling her skin.Arga placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “I’m sure. We’ve been running for too long. It’s time the world knows the truth. Devandra won’t control us anymore.”Vania exhaled, a mixture of relief and fear. “Okay… let’s do this. Let’s finally put everything on the table.”The press had already started to gather outside. Cameras flashed intermittently as journalists murmured among themselves, anticipation rising like a tide. The first question came even before they took their seats.“Mr. Arga! Miss Vania! Can you confirm the rumors about your relationship?” a reporter shouted, leaning forward eagerly.Arga exchange

Devandra slammed the heavy glass door of his office, the echo bouncing off the polished marble walls like a gunshot. His face was flushed, eyes blazing with a fury that could melt steel. The morning sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, but it did nothing to soften the storm raging inside him.“How dare he!” Devandra muttered, pacing the length of the room. His tailored suit clung to him as he moved like a predator circling its prey. “Arga… that boy… he thinks he can defy me? He thinks he can take her from me?”One of his assistants, trembling slightly, cleared her throat. “Sir… I-I heard… about what happened at the Montgomery estate.”Devandra whirled, his dark eyes narrowing. “You heard?” His voice was sharp, almost slicing through the air. “Of course you heard! Everyone knows, because he’s shameless! He flaunted it! He—he… he’s claiming Vania as his own!”He stopped suddenly, fists clenched so tight that his nails dug into his palms. His breathing was uneven, a storm b

Arga sat in his car outside his mother’s estate, gripping the steering wheel until his knuckles whitened. The sun had barely risen, casting a pale glow over the manicured gardens of the sprawling mansion. His heart thumped, a mix of anger, fear, and determination. Today, everything would be exposed. He took a deep breath and stepped out, his tailored suit crisp against the morning air. Every step toward the grand entrance felt heavier than the last. The doors swung open almost immediately, as if his mother had been expecting him.“Arga,” she said smoothly, her tone as icy as the marble floors beneath them. “What an early visit.”He didn’t answer. Instead, he walked past her, straight into the living room where she waited, poised on a velvet chair, fingers interlaced.“Sit,” she commanded, and he obeyed, though his jaw was tight. She leaned forward slightly, her eyes sharp and calculating. “So… you’ve discovered my little arrangement.”Arga’s eyes narrowed. “Arrangement?” He slammed a
