Chapter 29

Dennis drove his car towards the apartment where Bethany lived. He had already thought about how he should deal with the matter. Once he arrived there he parked his car on a small side road that led towards a residential area.

Dennis got out of his car and looked around him. All he could see was darkness surrounding him and not even a single light could be found anywhere. Even when night fell, the area seemed empty of any light source. After walking a few steps towards the entrance of the neighborhood, Dennis stopped midway. He sighed before turning back to face the direction of the house.

Once there Dennis approached the door and knocked twice before hearing footsteps approaching the door. The steps grew closer and closer and then the door opened slowly revealing Bethany standing there.

She wore sweatpants and a t-shirt. Her hair was tied back loosely and there were some dark circles under her eyes which Dennis found odd considering how late she had woken up that morning.
