Chapter 3

Shana called Halsey and asked him whether he want to come to Las Vegas with her.

"Why are you going there?"

"To party! I am so stressed so I want to release some stress by partying! I heard Las Vegas is known to be a party city" exclaimed Shana excitedly.

"You're not going to take me to the party with you are you?"

"Of course I am! I have never gone to a party before. I need a break from everything. I promise that I will take good care of you."

Halsey sighed. " Fine, Shana. As much as I hate parties I'll come. "

"Great!"

After hanging up, Shana started to prepare for Las Vegas. She packed her bags with all her clothes and personal items she owned. Once she is done packing, she took one last glance in the mirror. Shana like what she's wearing now. She wore her black pantsuit with her black boots, which came close to a short dress. She put the jewelry she was wearing on and put some simple makeup on her face. When she was done, she took her purse and phone and left her home.

While driving to the airport, Shana wondered how she'll manage to spend the night in a club. She didn't want to go out alone. She needs Halsey by her side. Halsey was a guy and she didn't want to be alone with a stranger in a crowded place. She was afraid they wouldn't like her and they might take advantage of her. Halsey must be thinking the same thing. That is why Halsey agreed to go with her.

"Finally we are arrived" Both of them have arrived in Las Vegas and they go straight to their hotel and check into their rooms without saying anything to each other. After checking in, they headed to the club and Shana ordered some drinks for them.

"I need a drink to clear my head."

"Do you wanna share what is bothering you, baby girl?" asked Halsey with concern.

Shana sighs heavily. "I don't want to talk about it...I just want to have fun tonight." Said Shana with a smile.

"Okay... If you say so. I will try and distract you for a little while." Said Halsey.

Both friends spent the rest of the night dancing and enjoying themselves. Shana didn't notice Dennis standing right behind her.

"You have nice hips baby" whispered Dennis to Shana.

"Dennis?" Shana turned around startled.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" screamed Shana.

"I'm sorry baby girl I didn't mean to scare you." Said Dennis trying to look apologetic but Shana doesn't believe him.

"You were following me!"

"That's true..but in your dream" teased Dennis.

"Dream? You mean your nightmares." Shana corrected Dennis.

Dennis rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say."

Before anything else is going to happen Shana noticed something familiar in Dennis. It was the smell he always carried around. Shana remembered he smells like coconut water. She couldn't help but inhale the scent.

"I see we have a lot of things in common. We both love Coconut's scent." Said Dennis while pointing out to his chest.

" Coconut perfume"

She looks at Dennis in disbelief.

Dennis laughed at her reaction.

"Yeah, coconut. The sweetest smell. Now get away from me before you start breathing it in too." Dennis shooed Shana away.

Shana rolls her eyes " Whatever. I don't give a shit about you", Shana walked away and headed towards the bar. She ordered Sex in the beach. She drank heavily that night and so did Halsey. Halsey was drooping on the bar table unconscious. On the other hand, Dennis was also heavily drunk.

Somehow Dennis got this crazy idea, he proposed to Shana that night and they get married that night as well. Shana agreed to her invitation because she felt pressured by the people at the club. Without the two people knowing, their actions that night will change their lives 360 degrees. That night they both headed to the Elvis wedding chapel. In less than 30 minutes they were legally married and a crazy idea came up again from Dennis who suggested that they should both sign a contract where they should remain married and live in the same house for at least 3 months. If any party breaks the promise they will be subject to severe action that allows them to lose everything.

Shana woke up in her hotel room. She didn't know how she go back to her hotel yesterday. She realized there is something wrong and she spotted a ring in her hand.

"What is this? Who gave me this? asked her to herself. Then she saw a piece of paper on her right finger. Shana reads the contents of the letter and is very shocked by what happened. He called Dennis and asked to see Dennis right now.

"Okay, I'll be there in 5 minutes"

Shana didn't like sitting around waiting for Dennis. She couldn't believe what was happening. This must be a prank that Dennis made for her. She knew very well that Dennis wanted to see him suffer.

The minute Dennis entered the room, Shana burst out,

"This is a prank. Is it? You are messing with my mind?" She pointed at the ring in her hand.

"I'm about to ask the same thing. What do you do to me yesterday? You intentionally framed me right? ", She snapped at Shana. Shana was shocked that he accused Shana of doing this kind of thing.

"Why did I want to frame you to married with me?" glared Shana.

"This is not valid, right? We can still cancel anything, right?" Shana hopes a miracle will happen.

" No. This is Valid. We even have our certificate of marriage and I already asked my lawyer if there is anything we can do to escape from waiting for 3 months to pass why. " Dennis answered in a defeated tone. Shana's world seemed to collapse. Everything seemed to be destroyed in the blink of an eye. He doesn't believe in what happened.

"What should I tell my parents about this? Huh, Dennis?" tears were already beginning to flow down her cheeks.

"I'm the one who should ask you. What should I tell Bethany about all this? You intentionally wanted to destroy this relationship from the very beginning. What do you want from me?" Dennis snapped, venting his anger on Shana.

"I don't know, I don't know anymore!". cried Shana in response.

"We shouldn't stay here. Let's go home right now". Snapped Dennis.

Shana just nodded because she can't effort to lose everything.

A few hours later, they finally reached Dennis' mansion. They went inside and walked into the kitchen. The mansion itself isn't a big one, but it had many rooms. They went upstairs to the second floor and walked past every door until they reach Dennis' bedroom. It looked empty except for some pictures hanging on the wall. It wasn't decorated in the same way as the living room where the picture was hanging. There were no flowers, paintings, or anything of the sort. Even the room was empty except for the bed and some other stuff that belong to Dennis.

"This is my room, not yours. There are 9 other rooms in this house. You can pick whatever you want." Said Dennis, looking at Shana and then walking towards his bathroom to clean up.

After Dennis was finished cleaning himself up, he grabbed the keys to his car and leave. Shana was feeling very sad. She decided to call Halsey.

"Hey girl"

"Hi, Halsey...Can we meet tomorrow?" Asked Shana.

"Of course, we can. I'm sorry for not doing my job well. I'm ashamed to meet your parents." Halsey replied in a disappointed tone.

"It's okay. Dad and mom also understand. They understand how stubborn a person named Shana is" laughed Shana at the end of the line.

Now Shana has to adjust herself to her new life, which is to be the wife of the famous actor, Dennis Seo. All of this will come with its challenges that she has to overcome. And maybe a little bit more stress than expected. She needs Halsey.

"Listen, I am gonna unpack now. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Said Shana.

"Same to you. Take care".

Halsey ended the call. She looked around the beautiful house and realized she hasn't explored all of it yet. She decides to take a tour of her new home. So she takes off all of her clothes and starts exploring the house. She explores all of the rooms and places that Dennis owns. When she's done, she returns to the kitchen and drinking and eats some chocolates.

"This is not your house. You can't eat anything you want. If you want, buy it yourself" frowns Dennis to her. Shana was startled as she did not expect Dennis to come home anytime soon.

"Sorry" That's all Shana can say.

They stood awkwardly staring at each other until Shana broke the silence and spoke.

"So are you gonna show me everything?"

"Nope. Go do that on your own."

Shana sighed "Fine".

Dennis turns back to focus his attention back on his phone. Shana walks back to her room. She sits on the bed and stares at the ring in her hand and sighs. This can't be real. How is this possible? Shana never imagined she could be married in such a short time. She feels overwhelmed and confused at the moment. She lays on top of the bed, closes her eyes, and goes to sleep.
