Chapter 41

After a few hours of tossing and turning in bed, Bethany finally woke up. She got out of bed, walked to the bathroom, and started taking a shower. By the time she finished showering and changing, Erik was sitting in the dining room reading a newspaper. He looked up from the newspaper when he heard her coming downstairs. He quickly rose from his chair and walked over to her and gave her a big bear hug. Erik kissed her on the cheek affectionately. He didn't say anything for a minute or two. He looked deep into her eyes searchingly and finally spoke:

" Did Dennis believe you?"

"Yes. He did. I need to use all my skills for him o believe me. I need to pretend to cry for him to sympathize with me but it's not enough for him to stay over at my house. How about you?"

"Me? How about me?" Erik asks confusing.

"Yes. You. You want to kidnap Shana right? How's the plan?"
