Micah

I curse quietly at myself, annoyed that I lost my temper yet again. I’m not used to being challenged this way. Growing up as future Alpha had a lot of benefits, but one of the downfalls was I was never told ‘no’ enough.

I watch her disappear from the packhouse, the constant pulse of pain in my chest beating harder than usual. Everything in me was telling me to run after her. To chase her down, to make her see reason, but I knew that wouldn't work with her. Forcing that girl to do anything would only make her push back harder for the opposite. Taking away her options, making her feel trapped was doing the same thing. She had been telling me from the beginning that she needed space, so I gave it to her.

First a day, then a second one.

It felt like dying a slow death, but we both needed it. Her to think and me to put my plan in motion.

I didn't tell my parents what I was planning. I knew they'd be pissed and not understand my reasoning, but in m

HannahMuch too soon, I feel myself being jostled awake. I whine in protest and push his hands away before I hear Micah’s chuckle in my ear.“We’re home, Hannah.” He murmurs and I force my eyes to open. It’s still dark, but the sun looks about ready to peek over the horizon. Griffin doesn’t say anything, just hops out of the car and shifts, shredding his clothes before running off into the forest and letting out a cheerful howl. Micah laughs before pushing open the door. I’m still on his lap, so he stands with me in his arms. He starts towards the p

  • Regretting and Rejecting   Chapter 20

HannahGriffin and I were surrounded by at least twelve rogues, all of them snarling and stinking like rotting flesh. Griffin tried to stand in front of me protectively, but he and I both knew that even he couldn't take on this many at once.'Shift.' I told him and we both jumped, landing on our paws.It had been a long time since I had seen Griffin's wolf and the brown monstrosity somehow looked like

  • Regretting and Rejecting   Chapter 19

HannahI didn't like this pack. Not at all. I kept it to myself for the first couple of days, trying to find a redeeming quality, but had decided to discuss it with Micah.'Micah?' I ask through our link.'What's up, buttercup?' I smile at his voice in my head.

  • Regretting and Rejecting   Chapter 18

HannahWe reached the next pack pretty late. We only managed to meet the Alpha and he was kind enough to show us our rooms himself. We were in the farthest part of the packhouse that had the fewest occupants. Apparently Micah had told him of my aversion to noisy packhouses. His thoughtfulness made me smile. It didn't take long after we had arrived for me to make myself comfortable in bed. I mind linked Micah quickly to tell him goodnight and fell asleep shortly after."Hey sweetness." I hear Micah murmur lowly in my ear. I feel hisweight&n

HannahThe weeks seem to crawl by. The people in the pack are nice, but they don’t seem willing to include Griffin and I in anything. And since this pack is so far away from any kind of civilization, there was nothing to do. No movie theaters, no stores, not even a cafe or something. So we spent most of our time in our cabin. My conversations with Micah started becoming the highlight of my day. I couldn't tell if he liked me linking him three times in a day, but he didn't complain about it.I didn't think I would be so excited to move on to the next

  • Regretting and Rejecting   Chapter 16

HannahAs soon as we arrived in the new pack, Griffin and I were led straight to the Alpha's office. The man was obviously older than us, very tall with light brown hair and brown eyes, and a seemingly permanently tired face. In the corner of his office was a little boy who was basically has carbon copy, coloring quietly. The Alpha stood when we entered the office and shook our hands. We both bared our necks in submission and took the seats he offered us."Welcome." He said, gaining the attention of the little boy. He came running over and sat on hi
