Izzy’s POV I feel a command rush out strong and fast, as Crescenda speaks.“Neal!” She says. Instantly everyone takes a knee except for those that I call family. Zaden had earned his spot, and been betrayed. They stop at my side looking around. Caterina and Nick go straight for Blair. They check her over and make sure that she is okay. “Caterina, can you take Blair back home please, and get her and Rosie ready for the wedding? We will be along soon. ” I ask. Funny that with everything going on today, I was still going to marry the man sitting next to me. She nods standing with Blair in her arms. In seconds she darted off and vanished into the trees. I knew that my girl would be safe with her. Once I am sure they are out of hearing range I look at Zaden.“There is something you need to hear Zaden, but you need to hear it from her. Rachel, come here!” I aim the command at her. “Tell him the truth, he has earned that and much more from you.”“Andrew is my moon goddess given mate.
Eight weeks later:Izzy’s POV I start my trek up the stairs, which is no easy task. Especially when your center of gravity was that of a humpback whale. I haven’t been able to see my feet for weeks now. Everything hurts, my hips feel like they have spread a mile. I can physically feel my feet swelling, my boobs are sore, and why in the hell can I not walk through the house without losing my breath. I rub my side where one of my not so little beans is kicking the shit out of me. A week after the wedding we moved into the pack house. Sunny moved in with us. Which I am very grateful for. We still had little Rosie with us. Zaden had come to visit a few times, but he said that he still wasn’t comfortable taking her. It is clear that his grieving isn’t getting any better. Rosie was comfortable here, she had become part of the family. Just as Blair had done. I will be sad when she has to leave, in all honesty I don’t want her to have to leave. Zaden had been having a rough time. Unl
Sunny’s POV Running to the stairs, taking them two at a time to the third floor. Izzy needed me, I am the only one here other than her. She had left the bedroom door open which saved me some time. Opening the bathroom door I step in as her eyes flutter closed. It all happens in what feels like slow motion. Her knees give out from under here, her body falling. My brain is too stunted to react because of my shock. Pepper shoves forward taking control of my body and catches her before her head can hit the tile. Sparks flare up all over my skin where her body touches mine. I picked her up, and rushed to take her to her bed. I can hear her heartbeat so I know that she is alive. Her breathing is shallow, making me worry. I pull my phone from my back pocket and dial Nick’s number. Normally I would just use the pack link, but he was too far away for it to work. It rings and goes to voicemail. I sent him a text with the numbers nine one one. I pull up another number before hitting
Sunny’s POV She tried calling him no less than four times while I scrubbed my arms and hands. I am trying to stop my panic. I need a clear head for this. When I am finished I reach for the hand towel that one of the cooks has in her hands. Tears are steadily streaming down her face. Caterina goes to dial her son’s number again and I call out to her. “Forget about calling him, he probably left his phone lying somewhere. He will call back or show up but I need your help.” I tell her, while drawing medicine into a syringe. “What do you need me to do?” She says quickly, not hesitating to drop her phone on the counter. I hated how when Nick went out of town he would block his emotions from Izzy. I get that he doesn’t want her to worry but this is why he needed to leave the bond open. There is no way he wouldn’t feel what I was about to have to do to her though. She won’t feel it because I am sedating her incase she wakes up. “I need you to give her this shot in her upper thigh wh
Sunny’s POV I mentally facepalm myself. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Her eyes are trained on Izzy's stomach and the blood that is spilling out of her. “Caterina look at me. Focus on my voice. You do not want to hurt Izzy or any of us. Think about your son, your grandbabies. How would that make him feel?” I say trying to distract her. I continue to work while talking. Leo needs to get here now so he can shove a blood bag in her mouth. Why was it taking him so long? I hear her phone ringing on the counter. And tune it out.“Caterina, I know that you can fight the crazy, you just need to believe in yourself. You have held yourself together, do it just one more time. Can you do that for me?” I ask looking up at her. She gives me a tight nod, I can see that she is holding her breath, looking like she is in pain. She does not look back down but to her phone on the counter. “One of you grabbed Caterina’s phone, brought it here and put it on speaker. It has to be Nick.” I say. Ellie goes a
Izzy’s POV I can hear my babies crying. I can smell the tears in the room but I can't move my body or open my eyes. I feel tingles rush over my stomach that was burning but not really hurting. I feel them on my wrist when someone picks up my hand checking my pulse. I feel as they pull my eyelid up. I expected to see Nick, but I was shocked. Sunny is standing over me looking down at me checking my eyes. Why were there tingles all over my body? The last thing I remember was calling for Sunny and everything going black when she walked in. The shock of seeing Sunny and the sound of my children snaps my body out of the stupor it had been in. Sitting straight up on the table I hear multiple gasps in the room. Turning to look I see Nick holding both babies in his arms, his eyes filled with tears. Ellie and Alya are standing behind him also crying. Looking back at Sunny she shakes herself from her shock at my sudden movement. She runs at me throwing her arms around me crying uncontrolla
Sunny’s POV The shock on Izzy’s face when she opened her eyes was noticeable. She had expected it to be Nick that she saw but it was me. ‘I guess she finally feels the tingles.’ Pepper says to me.‘She looked disappointed,’ I told her with sadness going through me.‘She was confused, not disappointed. She wants us too,’ she replies with determination and hope that I wasn't able to let myself feel.‘Then why did she just vanish with the babies?’ I ask her. It seemed like a fair question to me.‘Probably to go see her mother.’ She shrugs unworriedly.“Why haven’t you said anything before now?” Nick asks, snapping me from my head. Taking a deep breath I try to find the best way to explain it. “I knew from the moment I met her that she was my mate. Honestly it didn’t make sense to me. She showed no reaction towards me other than wanting to be my friend. Pepper and I decided we could live with that as long as we knew she was safe and taken care of. It hurt to watch her be with you, bu
Nick’s POV Izzy had been pacing back and forth in front of her desk for about five minutes. Almost as if she was having trouble knowing where to start, she was making me nervous. Caius agreed with me that something was up. “Okay so when I start talking neither of you speak until I am finished.” She looks at us waiting for an answer and both Sunny and I nod. “So first Andrew was never meant to be my mate, he was just a loophole for me to find the both of you.” I went to say something but she held up a finger. “I went and seen mom when I woke up. Nick, you are my fated mate but I am Sunny’s fated mate.” She turns to look at Sunny.“Sunny I feel completely stupid that I didn’t realize before. I know the pain you felt, the pain you probably still feel and I intend to make that right.” Her gaze goes back to me. “Nick, I love you and the girls more than anything but I believe in my soul that Sunny is supposed to be a bigger part in our lives than just a friend. I feel the tingles when S
