Rejected And Banished With His Triplets

“I, Kai Everest” He said, his words cold and jolting through my spine like quick lightening. I braced myself as he continued to speak over me.

“I, Kai Everest, Alpha of crimson moon pack hereby reject you, Alana Brooks as my mate and future Luna” He said, sending more stabs of pain through every fiber of my being and bringing warm tears to my already clouded eyes.

Everything started as a warm heat from the spot on my neck where he has marked me as his before spreading under my skin. The pain dull yet sharp enough to break me as I heard my wolf, Vel, howl in pain, the bond binding us to our mate snapping in two within me. I lowered my head in shame, tears flooding my cheeks and clouding my vision completely.

Kai must have felt our bond breaking as well as I noticed his finger twitch slightly before he had them clenched into a tight fist, his gaze still as fierce.

Aside from being our mate, he was the alpha and his words are final once spoken but I couldn’t allow us to end like this, I had  to plead my case one more time, needed him to believe me even if everything and everyone was already against me.

He was our mate, he should be able to see the sincerity and truth in our eyes.I'm innocent of the accusations, why can't he see that!.

Sniffing back my tears, I took two unsure steps towards him and paused when I noticed the look in his usual captivating eyes. There were filled with disgust  as he continued to glare coldly at me.

"Please..." I began weakly but I didn't even get to finish before he quickly cut me off.

“...from this moment henceforth, You’re nothing to me and for your crime, I hereby banish you from this pack forever. You’re no longer one of us and that means you can never show your face to me ever again!, is that clear?”

With trembling lips, I nodded but he growled out a warning, demanding a more audible response from me.

“y…yes” I croaked out, my voice barely above a whisper as I stood clutching my chest, the pain of his rejection completely unbearable and coursing through me.

The ringing in my ears has now become even louder than the whisper and voices condemning me to my fate.

The walls around me even more smaller as it began to spin, leaving me breathless. I crumbled to my feet, my legs shivering and unable to support me much longer.

I felt numbed to the pain that shot through me when my knee met the hard ground beneath me. It was nothing compared to the pain digging a pit at my chest.

Kai stood tall over me with no remorse or pity, his expression cold and dispassionate. No single trace of the man that I once thought I knew was left behind at this point. Only a heartless man was staring down at me with so much contempt and hate.

What exactly was my crime again? The formal Luna, Kai's mother was found bleeding in my arms with a short dagger sticking out from her chest. Someone had done it but it wasn’t me but who would believe a poor orphan girl like me. 

I am what you could describe as a nobody, a lowly omega. I was someone who was considered an abomination among her own people.

For a little while, i thought my mate had started to see me differently but now i know how wrong i had been. I was still the pack's abomination who had just been rejected and banished for a crime I didn't commit.

*one week ago*

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window and announcing the dawn of a new day. Groaning under my breath, I pushed myself into a sitting position on the bed before shooing them away. I had no place to rush off to which is why I hate having to wake up so darn early without a reason.

I lay back down trying to force myself to sleep again but to no avail. Giving up in frustration, I sat back up and pulled my hair into a loose bun before shrugging out of bed and moving towards the bathroom to get ready and begin the rest of my day.

And in case you were wondering, my name is Alana Brooks and I’m eighteen years old. I just turned eighteen two nights ago but still yet to meet and find out who my mate was. It's not like I was exactly looking forward to it but I was honestly curious to find out who it could be.

The night I shifted for the very first time and met my wolf Vel, I was all along in the forest by myself with the full moon as witness. I had no family or relatives to witness it. It was just me with my bones getting snapped in odd places until I finally got the hang of it.

My life hasn't always being like this. My childhood wasn't all sunshine and rainbows but I had my Dad with me. He was my everything until I lost him. If I had other siblings, I wouldn't be left all alone by myself but I had none.

I was born an only child but a half breed. My mother was from the human tribe. She had no wolf but could feel the mate bond with my father who didn't hesitate to take her as his mate.

She died shortly after giving birth to me. And on my tenth birthday, father was caught trying to assassinate the Alpha and beheaded on the spot.

From that very moment, my life turned into a living hell. I became loathed by everyone even though I had no part in my father’s betrayal. It didn’t matter that I was innocent. To everyone, I was the traitor’s daughter, a filthy blood who could never erupt completely unless on a full moon. 

Through gloomy days and even darker nights, i grew into my teen years isolated from everyone else. Doing the best I could to survive and making sure to stay out of everyone’s path. My only friend was Suzy. She was an Omega’s daughter but a year older than I was.

Thanks to her, I had access to new clothes, food, medicine and other things that came easy to everyone in the pack except me. I was not allowed to hunt with the group or on my own. Basically, I was restricted from participating in pack activities like everyone else.

Sometimes, I wonder why they didn’t banish me instead of torturing me with all these restriction and judgmental stare everywhere I go but I guess throwing me out of the pack would leave them without someone to loathe and curse out.

Don’t think I haven't thought of running away. The thought have crossed my mind way too many times but I guess I just never had the stomach for it. Out there on my own, I could run the risk of falling the victim of rogues attack and even if I managed to survive and return home, I won’t ever be welcome back so give or take, I was still better off staying here.

It wasn’t a matter of choices but that of staying alive and I was determined to survive. But as the years went by, i thought living as the pack outcast was the worst thing that could happen to someone like me until I found out I was mated to none other than Kai Everest. 

He was our late Alpha first son and also in line to succeed his mother, Luna Emilia as next leader the moment he is done with his Alpha lessons. Our path would have never crossed if not for my friend Suzy who came to me one morning, begging that I cover for her line of duty while she attend to her sick mother for a day.

Suzy was Kai's personal maid. She was responsible for keeping his room clean and neatly arranged while making sure he has clean clothes to wear for his Alpha training.

“Suzy, I don’t think this is a good idea. What if someone finds out or even worst, Kai realizes I’m not you and punish me for it” I said, voicing out my discomfort at the arrangement.

Suzy looked completely convinced as she walked over and stood beside me, her hands reaching out to take mine in hers before giving it a little squeeze. 

“Please, Alana. I know how daring we are trying to be but I promise you that if you keep your head down and face covered, he won’t even notice our difference and i will be back before you even know it”

I thought about her words for a moment and sighed, knowing fully well I wasn’t going to say no to Suzy. She has gone through worst for me and doing this would only be small in comparison.
